It was a nice hotel- the staff was lovely. The room was shockingly small- but did I really need much space? It had everything I needed, although a fan in the bathroom would have been nice as it got a musty smell after the shower. But for the price, I was quite impressed. My only complaint is I was on a lower level and there's a very noisy bar across […] the street that kept me up. A higher level or the back of the building would have been nice. But for the location, I almost can't complain about the noise. And the staff was so wonderful and accommodating. I liked the location very much (especially for somebody traveling without a car). The proximity of the main train station and a big shopping area were very convenient. If you're travelling by train, this hotel is in a great location - right across the street. It was an easy walk to central Glasgow, shops, George Square, etc. When we asked to have our room changed due to proximity to a noisy elevator (we were on the 3rd floor), the staff did it quickly and with a smile. The room was well furnished but with a shaky table (on which the tea-making facilities were placed!). Toilet is a bit compact but the shower was powerful. The TV screen size wasn't as large as I hoped, and the channels were the usual ones and not premium, contrary to what is in the description. Breakfast was served buffet-style - although quick, this […] means the food can dry out if left out for a while. The service at the check-in desk was very good and personable - the only downside was that the gentleman who served me didn't have an awareness of local restaurants to recommend. The hotel is in an old building, which means that the room we were in was quite small, but it was very clean and had everything that was needed in it. It is so convenient - very easy to get to lots of places very quickly. We'd definitely return if we were in this part of the city again. The location of the hotel was central and made getting into the city quick and easy. The staff were friendly and accomodating of requests and were knowledgeable when asked questions. Hotel was good, the sevice was also of good quality. "Trip away"
Stayed in the Artto Hotel for one night with my daughter. On arrival we were greeted by a helpful young girl who made sure our room was ready and answered any questions we had about directions around the city etc. Room was clean and tidy, tea and coffee making facilities were in the room.Genuine Expedia guest review
