"Sort the beds out."
I was staying in Blackpool for the first time for Business with my partner. I paid a premium price with comparison with other rooms at other hotels in the area. There seemed to be an abundance of hotels when I search for Blackpool so i stuck to a name i recognised in Hilton and hoped for the best. The good bits include the friendly staff at reception […] and the superb breakfast (one of the best selection I have ever seen!). The bad bits, unfortunately include the bed in the room with which we stayed in, poor quality pillows and location. We stayed in room 423 and the bed was very noisy. Every time you would move during the night it would make a loud noise, this is infurirating when you are trying to sleep and resulted in a poor nights sleep for both myself and my partner. The pillows also are of such poor quality where you put your head in the pillow and it seems as if there is nothing in the pillow (even after getting extra pillows from the wardrobes it still meant that they were far too soft). I have stayed in Hiltons before and thought the experience wonderful, however I would probably think again before staying at another. I will be sending this to the hotel and update this review if I hear back. The only reason the location disappointed me was I was unaware having never been to Blackpool before how far we where from the main strip. it is quite a walk down to the pleasure beach and major piers. They were doing refurbishments during our stay - but it did not bother us unlesswe used the pool - when we would have to use makeshift changing ares. The room was basic but comfortable.
