Apart from a function taking place which was supposed to finish at 11pm but ran over until 11:40 being extremely noisy and leading to loss of sleep, everything else was really good. Food was excellent in the breakfast buffet, the Pool and amenities were also very welcome. Got this at a decent price last minute. Rooms tired and in need of a bit of work, but the main areas in reception, restaurant etc are well maintained. Excellent breakfast - huge choice, quality food, good service. All you can eat included in our deal - well worth it as it sets you up for the day. Reception were also very helpful. Onsite car parking […] but it's £5 per day, so not cheap but very convenient. Well lit car park and security cameras visible too, so looked fairly safe. Good hotel location for the 'sights', right on the front with room views straight out to sea. Blackpool is an acquired taste though! We were not told that the pool was closed for work to be carried out. With notice were would have been able to use another hotels pool, but, in mid January, cold, snow etc, we did not want to travel to another hotel. We visited with our two grandchildren aged 7 and 9 and chose the hotel because it had a swimming pool. Unfortunately the pool was closed but the hotel offered us the use of the pool at the Imperial Hotel about 150 metres along the road and it was good and we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. The room was ok except for a leaking window, which kept dripping throughout the night as it was raining, internet in room was fine, use of gym and pool was great, and parking was about 3 pounds per night (cheap compared to most hotels).
