"Not a usual "Hilton Quality"..."
This is probably one of the 'better' hotels in Blackpool in which miser amenities is US.standarts are accepted as luxury. A good example is air condioning. At this hotel air conditioning means opening the windows. That leaves you with the mercy of the weather outside. Sometimes it may become very hot and humid. WiFi acces is also a problem. Although […] the hotel advertises that all rooms have WiFi access it a big hassle to log-on and often the service is interrupted. Paying for WiFi access is also another disadvantage comparing that it is free at the Imperial Hotel nearby. Breakfast hall and the service is satisfactory; however, I find it odd to have small cheese bites in a country that produces a variety of cheese. One major problem with this hotel is the noise. There is often a reception or wedding with many guests that become quite noisy after a couple of drinks or there is an endless garbage disposal that can turn your mornings into a disaster. "great breakfast!!!!"
Well, its the Hilton, stayed in a few Hiltons recently and definately live off the name, ie nothing like as exclusive as they used to be...but saying that the breakfast was lovely, would stay there again for that alone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A bit tired"
Overall, stay was fine but the rooms are a bit tired - could do with a complete refit. We would book again though. Was good for going to a concert at the Opera House in the winter gardens - walked both ways (20 minutes)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Average - but probably the best in Blackpool"
Hotel not great for a four-star, let alone a Hilton. However, probably the best in Blackpool. Two standard rooms booked. OK for space but furniture scratched/scuffed/handles not affixed properly etc. One very flat pillow per person so requested more. Cleanliness good. No minibar/fridge in room. Disappointing no free wifi in rooms, only in lobby. Ample […] car parking in hotel car park, but again, disappointing there was a daily charge for guests. Didn't use the leisure facilities, but pool looked small. Food expensive considering the standard and where we were. Waiting staff in restaurant struggled with English. Breakfast ok, although hotel encouraged guests to avoid the queues during peak periods and attend breakfast early. My suggestion to the hotel would be to take on more staff. Reception staff helpful. Hotel was about a 10-15 min walk from the main attractions/town centre. Good sea views. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel not like other Hilton hotels"

"Sort the beds out."
I was staying in Blackpool for the first time for Business with my partner. I paid a premium price with comparison with other rooms at other hotels in the area. There seemed to be an abundance of hotels when I search for Blackpool so i stuck to a name i recognised in Hilton and hoped for the best. The good bits include the friendly staff at reception […] and the superb breakfast (one of the best selection I have ever seen!). The bad bits, unfortunately include the bed in the room with which we stayed in, poor quality pillows and location. We stayed in room 423 and the bed was very noisy. Every time you would move during the night it would make a loud noise, this is infurirating when you are trying to sleep and resulted in a poor nights sleep for both myself and my partner. The pillows also are of such poor quality where you put your head in the pillow and it seems as if there is nothing in the pillow (even after getting extra pillows from the wardrobes it still meant that they were far too soft). I have stayed in Hiltons before and thought the experience wonderful, however I would probably think again before staying at another. I will be sending this to the hotel and update this review if I hear back. The only reason the location disappointed me was I was unaware having never been to Blackpool before how far we where from the main strip. it is quite a walk down to the pleasure beach and major piers. The rooms were very cold with no extra blankets. The rooms were in near of a refit. The food was ok but the staff were not always on the ball during breakfast when serving coffee and fruit juice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Mixed review"
Room adequate, no air conditioning in room and on entering for the first time it felt like a sauna, also no spare pillows in room. Bathroom begining to look tired. Extremely disappointed that the pool was out of use. Dining room buffet enjoyable though not overly exciting, as was breakfast. Evening entertainment very good with guest singers both evenings, […] and small dance floor for social dancing I was in a company of 10, and everyone in my company did remark on how impatient the waiting staff were in the dining room, as they continually lifted plates that had not been finished with. If anyone took a rest from eating the waiter took it that the they were finished, and moved in and lifted the plate, even after voicing a complaint they continued to do it which did detract from the overall dining experience. "ok for the price, very noisey at night."
We stayed for 2 nights 7 & 8th Dec. Room was ok, breakfast was good. Very noisey at night in the corridors and in some of the other rooms, finally went quiet around 3.30.There were a lot of people running around shouting and laughing with doors constantly banging. We would not return to this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff were very welcoming and helpful, but room was very basic and the beds were really uncomfortable. The location of the hotel is a long way out of the centre of Blackpool and their is nothing really around the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We liked the hotel room but twhen we used the swimming pool the water was freezing and the sauna and steam room could all do with a refurbishment. None of the lockers in the women's changing rooms were working and they were very cramped.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not good enough"
Checking in was slow; one girl on reception and she was busy on the 'phone. Another lady eventually appeared and quickly dealt with me. Checked me in, that is. My room was clean, nice big bed, though conversations were clearly heard through the connecting door to the next room, there was but no fridge, and the bathroom featured a badly chipped door […] and very low pressure at the shower head; my campervan provides a better shower! Sunday morning and the breakfast room had an enormous queue, I didn't bother waiting and checked out in disgust. Call me picky but this is not a cheap hotel. I expected better. "Disappointing return visit"
I stayed at this hotel a few months ago (a family room - at the very end of the corridor) and had a very pleasant experience. Therefore, I decided to book again... this time it was a twin room on the third floor, much nearer the lift. It was quite compact for a 'Hilton'. The carpet was full of stains and furniture chipped and marked. The beds were comfortable […] though. However, the noise from neighbouring rooms was horrendous! Obviously little or no soundproofing! People with TVs blaring until 3 in the morning and a whole host of other sounds could be heard!!! The welcome at reception was not as enthusiastic as last time and in the morning there were photocopied signs on the desk relating to pool closure and fire alarm testing! There was also a problem getting lifts and one was out of order when we were there. A completely different stay from my previous one... quite sad, really Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"hilton - but not as we know it."
visit this hotel and stay if you get a good price. it's a clean hotel, the breakfast is of hilton standard; but the restaurant food was poor. the breakfast staff were polite and spoke fluent english and had hilton manners, yet the evening restaurant was staffed with those who spoke and understood limited english. i've never had hanger steak served with […] gravy. the a la carte menu was poorly described and disgracefully presented for £100 for four - we should have gone to a pub chain up the road. this was meant to be a treat for teenagers and dad whilst visiting relatives. we'll go back when the price is right - believe me there is better value in blackpool and hilton are missing that all important trick - why? this is a hotel worth investing in - not destroying your brand name. the swimming pool was dirty and cold, the changing rooms were chilly & apparently the members told this was normal - even they're leaving in droves. oh yes, and we didn't get the sea view/parial sea view we booked. ""Needs modernising to keep up""
The entrance from the car park into the hotel lacked what I would expect from a "Hilton Hotel". Large open spaces, little decor and quite drab with closed doors indicating banqueting suites. The dining area was pleasant and welcoming, light and airy but the lounge bar area again was drab and needed modernising. The breakfast buffet was ok but the service […] for drinks ie waitress pouring one cup of tea or coffee per person could be improved. What was wrong with pots of coffee or tea? "Comfortable hotel, good location, friendly staff"
Reception staff helpful and friendly as were staff at breakfast and dinner. Rooms were ready so an early check in was possible. Nice room with a sea view. Rooms are in need of a refurb, worn carpets, scratched wooden furniture. Comfortable bed, thick white fluffy towels, nice toiletries, flat screen TV. Good choice at breakfast including fresh fruit […] and eggs cooked to order. Tea coffee and juice served at table, buffet choice for other items. Dinner choice poor (5 main course items on the a la carte included 2 curry dishes) and was the same on the 2nd evening. Felt that the hotel was pushing the 5 course £21 buffet which had a wide range but was too much for us (in volume and expenditure). We usually use the stairs but the staircase was dirty and we only used it once. On the second day there was a cigarette end in front of the lift door to floor 3 when we went for breakfast at 8.30. It was still there when we checked out at 12.00. If I had been a member of staff there I would have picked it up immediately. On the first night the room was very quiet but a large conference group arrived on the second day. It was difficult to get out of the front door in the evening as they were all waiting for a bus tour and we literally had to push through the group who were unconcerned about other guests. They arrived back noisily at 3.30am Convenient location just 2 tram stops or 15 mins walk to the Tower along the promenade. Would stay again Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Nice hotel, but reception slow and lifts very long. Concierge did not have any map of Blackpool or any tourist brochure to offer, which I found very strange in a tourist destination like that. Check-in and out quick and efficient with friendly staff. Breakfast and service really good. The hotel rooms could do with a bit of TLC as they are staring to look a bit jaded. "Not quite Seventh Heaven!"
We stayed at this hotel because we were attending a function. It was OK, but only just. We'd been given a room on the 7th floor which was FREEZING (the radiator didn't work). We complained & were told the radiator might work in time & while we were waiting, a heater would be sent up. We decided that wasn't good enough & asked for another room. They […] duly found us one on the 4th floor - much better. You could feel the difference as soon as you came out of the lift. Cleanliness just OK, but there needs to be a bit more attention to detail in the room eg light bulbs not working, & we couldn't find any info in the room to tell times of breakfast, nor the tel no to dial to ask reception. On a plus side, there was plenty of choice at breakfast, & the food at the function we attended was EXCELLENT (as was the service), much better than most at this time of year. "Hilton Blackpool"
Location: Great for the illuminations but quiet a walk to both Promenades & trek to the pleasure beach on foot. Food: Not what I expected from Hilton it was all carvery/al a carte served from a hot plate??? Because of this the meat/fish was so over cooked so only ate there 1 night of my 2 night stay. Breakfast wasn't the best either. The choice was […] adequate but not cooked to the best standard. I've stayed in a few Hilton hotels and this was the worst for food. We were served with juice at the table and were only given a cup of tea & coffee on our first morning however pots were served the following day?? The toasters need adjusting or replacing as the edges of the toast burns resulting in the whole restaurant smelling of burnt toast. Room: We stayed in a standard double. It was spacious enough for us & our toddler with travel cot. The room had a sea view which was nice but the wind was also quite loud. There appeared to have been an issue with damp and the wallpaper had been removed around the window and never redecorated. The bathroom was sufficient but I expected better. An issue I had with the room was that there was no in room temperature control only a radiator that we didn't wasn't turned on & we didn't know how to work, not the best for October! Staff: The one's that we dealt with were courteous & helpful but the restaurant staff could have been better and there was a lack of communication between them resulting in confusion. Leisure facilities: Only used the pool & changing facilities, the pool is what you expect from a hotel but the layout of the changing rooms/ towel drop/spinner were all over the place. There was a separate family changing room which was so small we could barely move and we are only 2 adults & a toddler. The family change was separate to both male & female changing rooms and the pool was only accessible through each individual changing room. Parking: Adequate parking & really cheap for a hotel. "The Hilton Blackpool - not value for money"
An average hotel, not quite what you would expect from Hilton though. The location is quite far from the pleasure beach (opposite end of the prom). The public rooms are decorated well and the restaurant is probably the best feature. The guest rooms are in need of an upgrade, our room had wallpaper peeling off the walls and parts of it looked like a […] patchwork quilt. At over £100 per night, I dont consider this to be value for money in comparison to the Big Blue hotel situated near the pleasure beach, slightly less expensive and much better quality Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hilton Blackpool"
Location is on the main promenade but is well away from the town centre and piers. Thats ok for the quiet area but makes it difficult to see the sights. Beach is just across the road, again a quiet area. The room was in bad need of refurbishment with broken wardrobe door and lots of scuffs. However the worst point was the noise. the walls and doors […] are paper thin. despite being quite a few rooms away from the lift you could take part in any passerby conversation quite easily. Also when next door had their tv on it was like being on in our room, at 23.20 I gave up and banged the wall twice which made him switch tv off. Food was good. Breakfast service also good, but reception staff on arrival and especially concierge bit snooty and unhelpful. Check out was easy. Swimming pool was excellent and the polish lady attending was very good helping my disabled mother and pointing out what was available. Car parking is cheap. I have not stayed at other Blackpool hotels but I would guess better are available. I would personally not stay there again because of the noise.
