"Not a 4 star but satisfactory"
Room was small. No bath tub just shower. TV was a first edition 17" iMac with a TV converter. Served a purpose as an over night stay but would consider elsewhere for a longer stay. Breakfast was OK. "pleasing and convenient"
Very convenient location to bus stops, train station (across the street!), shopping, and many sites. Despite one of the travel books comments advising against trying to walk Manchester, we found it fairly walkable. (We walk a lot ordinarily). We did not take cab, bus or train to any sites. "Memorable Stay with fantastic location and service"
We were travelling from London to catch a football match and we arrived at Manchester relatively early. Besides being greeted warmly, we were offered the room way ahead of check in time and managed to catch some rest after the train ride. Upon seeing that the bed type wasn't what we requested, we phoned up the front desk and they had a team up swiftly […] to convert the beds. Throughout the entire session, we had an enjoyable conversation with the team and they were done in no time. The concierge team was also very helpful with the directions when quizzed on how to get to the stadiums. Overall, we stayed there for a night but it's location and professional service left a memorable impression to me and my wife. I arrived fairly late in the evening, but had advised the hotel of this. The staff were ready for me and the booking in process was quick and efficient. I had a very brief overnight stay at the hotel for a business trip. The Queen Room I stayed in was spotlessly clean and of a reasonably good size. The primary reason for staying here was the hotel's proximity to Manchester Piccadilly train station which is approximately 100 metres away. The provision of a Mac computer in the room was a neat touch. […] The documents provided by the hotel stated that free wi-fi was included in the room. Unfortunately, though, I could only access this through the in-room Mac and not my own computer. That said, the free wi-fi did work properly in the bar / lounge area. Breakfast let the hotel down. We were told there would be a 10 minute wait for scrambled eggs and the same for hash browns.
