Britannia Hotel - Manchester City Centre

Hotel is very out-dated and in need of some serious repairs. No a/c and the window only opened about an inch. Beds were saggy and floor had some issues around the shower. Although the staff was good they had no control over building concditio. Breakfast was mediocre, nothing to get excited about. I would probably not book this again.

This hotel's best attribute is it's location...walking distance to the main train station, big bus terminal and the gay village. The hotel is getting a little worn, but still was a comfortable stay with friendly staff. Also the free WIFI always worked well in the room at all times. The hotel is contained in a hugely impressive building and as you enter the foyer the opulent staircase lit by massive chandeliers, stretches up to the roof . If you are not fit take the lift! Good location but very very noisy at night. Never had such kind of experience before. We arrived Manchester early morning. Although had requested early check-in, still need to wait for/almost 6 hours (Till 3 o'clock in the afternoon). Staff are not helpful at all.

It was very good but would have been appreciated if they allow early check in as I had to stay from 10am till 2pm to check in!! Also there was noise coming from next door room as I could hear everything happening there & I think it's because rooms are very close to each other & the wooden walls.

Anyone staying here should avoid a prison like room with no window. We got one, which stank of smoke (I am a non-smoker) - so bad that after a prolonged talk with the desk we were eventually shifted to a room with a window which was ok. I could not have stayed in the first room - rather sleep in the car.

Dette var et helt greit hotel, det som var minus var at når vi hadde bestilt et økonomirom så fikk vi et rom midt i hotellet uten vindu. Måtte betale 10 pund ekstra pr natt for vindu. Treg service i resepsjonen. Fin bar på hotellet. Meget sentralt når man er der på helge ferie.

Placering er Super nemt at komme til med tog fra lufthavn, jeg stod af på Oxford road + 10 min. gang. ligger lige op ad China town + alt det andet need to see er tæt på. tag selv morgenbordet var meget lækkeret. dejlig stemming i hotellet og meget venligt personale. kan varmt anbefaldes.

La habitación no tenía ventana, solo una claraboya que apenas se abría y el calor era excesivo, no se podia ni dormir. La temperatura en las calles era de 20-22ºC, por lo que las causas no eran por el tiempo. La cama tampoco nos convenció. Era muy incómoda.

This hotel is centrally located both for the city center shopping archades and public transportation. On the 4th floor the windows are placed so it is nearly impossible to look out the the street. The service level was OK compared with the price.

Det anviste væresle var uden lysindfald, ingen vinduer. Hotellet er meget slidt og lurvet tildels snavset. Vi oplevede en brandalarm klokken 2.30 om natten.
