"Mixed blessings"
This little place was perfectly located for my stay, the gardens and grounds were beautiful, the staff were perfectly lovely and if that was all I was looking for in my stay I would not only recommend it but I would go back. Sadly i have to say that it did fall a little short of my expectations. The room was relatively clean and tidy but the room only […] had blinds and not curtains so left the room exposed to lots of light and not dark enough to sleep in. The whole hotel was tired and needed a real facelift and smelt a bit musky. I was however grateful for the tea and coffee pot in the room especially as I was awake most of the night and the kit kat's too! The breakfast in the morning was really good if not a little haphazardly delivered but it was good nevertheless. So if all you are worried about is a relatively clean room, nice food and nice gardens to roam about in or look at whilst you tuck into your breakfast then this is the place for you...for me, however nice the staff were and they were its best selling point, I won't be going back..sorry..
