Disappointed to find we were room only when we had booked bed and breakfast. Hotel location was excellent, staff pleasant and friendly. Room was a rather small and cramped (access round the double bed was somewhat tight). Decor was a bit dated and bed rather uncomfortable, but everything was very clean. The hotel is a typical seaside hotel catering for holiday makers and families. The staff were great could not do enough to help. The public areas are really nice and look like they have been recently updated, breaksfast was brilliant lots of choice and excellent quality. We were given a room at the back of the hotel initially and to say it was smll […] was an understatement there was brely enough room to get past the endof the bed but we spoke toreception who could not move us the first night of our stay but moved us to a sea view room for the second and third nights which was great fantastic views. Hote looked great on the web great price ect, checked in staff were uninterested and looked bored. When I got to te room it had stained sheets, was filthy, and smelt awful. There was a lovely view of overflowing bins from he window. I went cmplin and the staff expected my complaint. I wa upgraded to the hotel next door the Suncliffe and had a geat stay […] the staff were very kind and helpful our room had a full seaview and was spotless. The location of tese hotels is great 5 mins into town walking so thats great they also have free parking. I wuld recommend the Sunciffe hotel but regretably not the Cliffeside, if anyone has seen the film Hostel, then tey would understand why! Read more
