The Bristol Hotel is nestled on the main street as you enter the inner wall of Avignon. Unless you reserve parking ahead of time, please know that you will likely be redirected to a public, underground parking structure (actually very close and very nice). We found the hotel to be a clean and comfortable base for exploring Avignon. The rooms have basic […] amenities of a flat screen television, decent sized beds and the usual bathroom amenities. If you seek a clean, decently priced, three-star hotel, Bristol is a good choice. I can't say enough about the kind and helpful front desk staff. The hotel is in a great location to the train station, bus lines, stores, restaurants, and sites. The staff was very helpful in answering our questions even though we were from the U.S. and didn't speak much French. The room was clean but can't say the same for the bathroom. The toilet bowl kept dripping which showed a calcium stain that looked pretty […] gross. The tub had a hand shower unit that you had to hold all the time as the wall bracket was broken. And the wall mounted hair dryer looked like the same one when we stayed there in 1994. All in all, we would probably stay there again when visiting Avignon. Read more

The management were very nice and went out of their way to help with reservations. The hotel was in a great setting. The breakfast was adequate. The problem was the room. The location was excellent, the rooms clean and the staff verry helpful. Being inside the old city walls was a real plus. As with many older European hotels, the rooms were small, you couldn't really relax in them, they were for sleeping! We had two rooms end of July. My wife notice a small blood stain on bed sheet when we arrived. I found a BED BUG each morning for three days straight. First ever experience with bed bug in a hotel. I wore full pajama with socks and flipped up my collar when I slept. We had limited option. It was the annual Avignon Film Festival. All were booked up. […] We tried to kept to ourselves as our daughter was next room over. BED BUG problem has to be fully sanitized before you leave as it can be bought home with eggs. Internet was so spotty, had to log in at lobby only. THEY NEED TO FULLY EXTERMINATE THE PLACE AND ANNOUNCE IT. Read more

For the price of the hotel I was expecting something a little bit older and tired and that's what we got. The room was clean, the staff were great, the location ideal. My big problem was with the bed. I called it concrete with springs. That would be my only reason for not coming back. Thanks to Phillipe and Silvia who helped us out alot!

The location is great, the Bristol is an easy walk from the Avignon Centre train station and on the main road leading to the Papal Palais and site. It is short walk to the Tourist Office which is across the street. The room was quiet despite its location on one of the of the main streets into the city. The staff at Bristol was very nice and helpfull. The only problem during our trip to Provence was the railroad workers strike. Everything else was perfect in Avignon.

The Bristol Hotel is right inside the medieval town walls and only two blocks from the train station. There are several restaurants on the same block, as well as many in the city square only six blocks away. Tourist Information is catty-corner to the Bristol.

The location is great. The food options nearby are vast but not good unfortunately. There is no comfort to this hotel. It's a place to sleep and needs an update. I would not stay again.

Bathroom needed upgrading, no shower curtain but that's personal preference. Needed to take lift then stairs to room, was quite tricky with heavy luggage. Having said this, the location was easy for tourist attractions, staff recommended food locations, which was thoroughly enjoyable, definately would stay again.

Perfectly satisfactory one night stay in this hotel . Very clean, modern decor, with air-con/heating in the room. Location is great, right on the main street and less than 5 minutes walk from the train station.

We found the staff charming and very helpful, always cheerful and ready to help. I lost my credit card whilst on holiday the receptionist got straight on to his computer and in a few minutes had found me the telephone number to cancel my card. We enjoyed our stay very much

We enjoyed our 5-night stay and would return - staff are welcoming and helpful in many languages, the situation is excellent, and air conditioning makes it a haven when daily outdoor temperatures were 34º. Initially we were in one of the older unconverted rooms with no stand-up shower; we were moved the second day to a newly converted room, with separate […] shower, BUT there are no hooks or rails anywhere in the bathroom on which to hang towels to dry - apparently a deliberate policy, and completely misguided, particularly if the management wants to encourage people to be ecologically friendly and re-use towels; also, the very constricted shower has no shelf or any place at all for nail brush, razor, face cloth - very inconvenient. Our only other comment is that our second room looked out on an internal courtyard and was very dark, necessitating lights to read even during the day. Read more

This is a typical 3 star hotel with no frills and expensive breakfasts (12 Euros each) and it catered for large groups. Staff were pleasant, helpful and spoke English. Well placed for exploring Avignon. Hotel not able to arrange a transfer from airport (or TGV station) so you have to take a chance on taxis or a local bus, but hotel is close to bus terminus […] so not far to drag baggage. Read more

Can't really say anything was wrong - it was just that the whole experience was pretty bland. Staff were nice, room was smallish and the bathroom was good, but nothing to write home about. Shower pressure was very poor. Avignon has gone downhill over the years, dirty streets and lots of drunkards/travellers lining the streets. Shame really

Comfy hotel- nothing too lush- certainly not the breakfast buffets of the German hotels, but still- considering the price (12euro pp) was pretty good value against the buffet breakfast at Grand Hotel Beauvau in Marseille which cost twice as much!! Friendly, helpful staff, comfy room with bathtub/shower and a hop, skip and jump from the Avignon Centre […] railway station and the navette - the shuttle to and from the Avignon TGV station which is a little way out of town. Hot tip: make time to check out Villeneuve lez Avignon which is across the river- there's a whole other medieval town and fort etc the other side of the (broken) bridge the town is famour for! We stayed her 6 nights in October, visiting our daughter at Avignon University. Hotel is comfortable and very well located. We did not eat in the hotel because of the huge amount of cafes and rstauarants within easy walking distance of the hotel. 2 minutes walk to the shuttle bus for the TGV station (1 euro 20) 5 minutes walk to central station which […] will take you to Lyon, Marseille, Arles, Nimes etc. 10 minutes walk to the main square and the Palais des Papes. This hotel was a very nice boutique type hotel in a FANTASTIC location! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They all spoke English very well which was an excellent bonus for us. If we go back to Avignon I would not hesitate to stay at the Bristol again. Take some time to enjoy Avignon at night the place "really lights up".

バスストップや電車の駅にも近く、見つけやすかったです。 シングルルームを予約したが、広い部屋を用意してくれたような気がします。 部屋は少し暗かったですが、広さは十分あり、ベッドも快適でした。 バスルームもとても広く、清潔で、バスタブがあったので、日本人にはとてもよいと思います。 受付のスタッフは、何人かの方が時間ごとに交代で担当している様子でしたが、どの方も温かく、やさしく、ほっとできました。
