"Very nice mid range hotel."
This is a good choice if you have an early flight out of the Lyon airport. They have a shuttle that takes you at about any hour. There is a train into Lyon from the airport, costs about $32 RT. The hotel has a breakfast buffet for about $12 and dinner is quite reasonable as well and the food was very good. Free internet access, tea/coffee set up in […] the room. I don't like the European style of bedding which has no top sheet, just a covered comforter. I find this too warm even with the temp set quite cool. Only problem I had was that they said that the room charge had not been prepaid (which it was through Expedia) and so my card was charged again. "Good hotel close to the airport"
This hotel is very conveniently located at Lyon Saint Exupery Airport. While the rooms are a bit dated, they are clean. More importantly, the internet connection is FREE (unlike the other airport property). Stayed overnight due to having an early flight, and was a third of the price of the nh on the airport. The reception couldn't find my reservation until I showed the e-mail reservation, but once that hiccup was sorted I couldn't fault them, the room was spotless, the bed comfy and the restaurant food was excellent and very reasnoble. "Handy for the airport"
I booked into the hotel for an early morning flight, due to the fact that the airport is a far distance away from the centre of Lyon. The free shuttle bus runs from the airport to the hotel and back which was very handy. When i arrived at the airport (rhoneexpress from the centre is the best way to get to and from the airport) I ask at the infomation […] desk in the airport for the best way to get to the hotel and the lady behind the desk phoned the hotel for me and requested they picked me up. The shuttle bus (mini bus) arrived in 10 minutes to a stop (clearly marked) just outside the doors of terminal 2. if looking for the stop follow the signs for the enterence to the NH hotel as the stop is just opposite. When checking in the staff also noted down what time in the morning i would need to take a bus to the airport. I did not spend a long time in the hotel but was just the ticket to reduce stress when trying to get the airport for an early flight. Le gros bémol pour moi est le temps d'attente de la navette. Elle est sensée passer toutes les 30 mn, c'est a dire aux heures 00 et 30. Or suis arrivée à 19h25 et ai attendu 20h10 ... Voyageant avec un bébé ce n'est pas l'idéal. Sinon prendre la navette de l'Ibis qui est à 2 pas du Kyriad ... Jeune couple, nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel à l'occasion de la fête des lumières car il n'y avait plus de logements disponobles dans le centre. Nous avons été agréablement surpris par la qualité de cet hôtel, chambre extrèmement propre, très confortable, salle de bain relativement spatieuse avec une belle baignoire, grand lit très confortable. […] Une bouilloire, avec café, thé et tasse est disponible dans la chambre, très appréciable! L'hôtel est très bien insonorisé, ce qui est un avantage certain vu sa localisation.
