An alpine-style, castle-like building with 16th- and 17th-century exploration provided the inspiration for the resort's interior. Guestrooms are designed with families and groups in mind. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to Disneyland, Disney Studios, Disney Village, and the TGV/RER train station. Restaurants, bars, shops, and an indoor pool with waterslide are on site. Wireless Internet access is complimentary.

Following the exploration theme, each guestroom is decked out like a ship's cabin with porthole-like light fittings and fabrics sporting nautical motifs in bold colors. All include satellite television.

A complimentary Continental buffet breakfast is provided each morning.
Captain's Library - A large mural painting decorates the entrance to this “Captain Bluffbeard's Library”-themed restaurant, with suits of armor and walls lined in bookcases. Open for dinner only, the restaurant serves traditional European dishes, and has à la carte or set menu options.
Plantation Restaurant - A complimentary Continental buffet breakfast is served each morning, or guests can order a traditional cooked-to-order English breakfast (surcharge). A self-service buffet with international foods is open at breakfast and dinner.
Smuggler's Tavern - This 18th-century quayside tavern-themed bar features leather sofas and a pool table. Fine ales, cocktails, and bar snacks are available throughout the evening. Open 5 PM to 11 PM.
Brioche Dorée - Offers a wide range of pastries, sandwiches and light meals to eat in or take-away. Open 8 AM to 5 PM.
Marco's Pizza - Offers a range of fast food, Italian style. Open 5 PM to 11 PM
Trader's Bar - Serves a wide range of refreshments in a relaxed atmosphere. Open 5 PM to 11 PM.
The hotel's 20-meter (65-ft) heated indoor swimming pool, the Secret Lagoon, has a separate aqua-play area with 3 waterslides, a shipwreck with waterslide, and changing rooms; open daily from morning until late evening. The indoor playground (surcharge) has separate areas for children ages 2-4, and children 5-12, and includes a ball pit and slides. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult in certain recreation facilities.
The Disney golf course, Golf Disneyland, is open daily year-round, and is 10 minutes from the park by car. The Marina del Rey at Disney Village has pedal boats, a miniature train and a climbing wall open during warm weather, and an ice-rink in winter.

"The pool alone is worth it."
some of the negative reviews gave me pause before we went, but we found this to be a perfect place to stay when doing Disneyland. Close, convenient, comfortable, and clean. The staff was friendly and efficient. The indoor play area, private ship, and especially the pool with water slides were huge hits with my kids. We had no plans to visit Disneyland Paris, but stayed here because it was the only place I could find close to Paris that would accommodate a family of 5. We stayed in a two room suite with 6 beds. It worked out well. The free shuttle bus took us directly to the train station where we purchased 3-day train passes. We could ride all trains, subways and […] busses unlimited. This way we saw all the major Paris sites quite easily as the train system is fantastic. I would highly recommend staying at Explorers even if you don't do Disney. They gave me an incident report and a map to the local police station who would not do a police report without an interpreter and would not tell me when to come back or how to get one. We arrived for a 3 day weekend with our older children. We intended to go to Disney on one day and spend the other two in Paris. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was small but comfortable. The mattress was well decent not the softest I have had but not horrible. Our family really enjoyed staying here. Our boys (5 yr old & 10yr old) loved the play area and especially the fantastic pool. They boys had a hard time leaving and hope to return soon. We live in California so it's a bit far to travel back any time soon. But we hope to return to Paris someday & staying at the hotel will definately be part of the plan. Great location, great hotel and very efficient staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip, the shuttle service to Disneyland is regular and reliable. Only gripe.... A two euro charge per towel for swimming....meaning the pool is not 'free to use' and a crazy French rule regarding swim wear resulting in my husband not being able to join us in the pool....what […] could happen if he wore shorts instead of trunks which would be so bad?? Seeing as other guests were taking photographs on poolside and not being asked to stop, the trunks thing seemed very insignificant.... "Great Hotel For The Family For Sure!"
We were very impressed with the swimming pool, it has water slides and a bucket that dumps water every few minutes, our children had a blast! We were in the pool twice a day! We were so happy with the bus connection to the train station and Euro Disney. We flew, but we think the Euro Star would have been just as cost effective as you have the free bus […] etc. Hotel Staff were always helpful, helping our teenager connect her phone to wifi etc. Games room was ok,as some games not working, but were fixed by the next day, air hokey a hit with our kids! Hotel has a few places to eat, but this was not cost effective for a family, and food was not the best, however the breakfast was amazing! have stayed before asa we have 3 children and saddly no other Disney hotels cater for that !!! this trip the rooms seemed tired and in need of updating etc . This was a great hotel for families although could help with some more information. Checkin is straight forward and the directions to the room are straight forward. If you get a family room (Called a crew room) try and avoid the room near the fire exit as this was used by staff early morning and late at night and was quite noisy. We were in room 436 […] which was clean and tidy and the beds were made up every day. We had to go to reception for more tea and coffee as this wasn't topped up. Milk was powdered so we brought some up from breakfast and left it on the windowsill to keep chilled (OK in November). The pool was a little chilly and very crowded in busy periods. "Great family hotel, fab pool, better than expected"
Good hotel, i was pleasantly surprised as it was cheaper than many. Accomodation- my friend and I shared a 6 person Crew Room. It worked well for us, we put our four children, ages 4, 6, 6 and 7½ in the main bedroom, and we took the bunk bed room off of it. Food- Breakfast was great, loads to choose from, croissants galore, cheese, ham, yoghurts etc, […] cooked brek if required- we didn't. One evening we did the buffet, loads of choice, perfect for all of us who were too tired to choose anything off a menu. The breakfast & evening meals were also fine for one of the kids who has a severe nut allergy. Cleanliness- room was clean, even the grouting in bathroom was clean. Room was tidied each day & bin empited. Location- good, the shuttle bus (large bendy bus) stops here first on the way to Disneyland Parc, which meant you had to go round the houses but you got a seat.On the way back, Explorers is the first hotel to drop off. The soft play was good, big for a hotel & it was next to breakfast, dinner, bar, so we could have our drinks in peace ! A bit scary at the end of the day though with lots of children all super tired & fractious, sit close & watch out for baddies ! "Great location, pretty pricey though."
Great hotel in terms of proximity to Disneyland, and the shuttle bus service was brilliant. The room was ok - beds were quite small and not that comfy. We had 2 unused single beds but needed a travel cot which made the room seem quite cramped. Would recommend bringing your own sheet too if using their travel cot as the one they provided wasn't fitted […] so got quite rucked up with a wriggling toddler! Bathroom wasn't in great condition but the shower was powerful and having a separate loo was quite handy. Our room didn't have a DVD player so would recommend bringing a portable one if poss as it costs 8euros to watch a film! Swimming pool was good - our little one loved it, and the food was nice too. Even the buffet restaurant had a good variety of dishes and of a good quality. I have a girl who is allergic to milk and eggs and nuts. It would have been nice if there was a fridge in our room. "Dispointment at the start but with a good finally"
When we arrived at the hotel we required two rooms as booked, but there were no rooms available. So even though we had booked flights, car hire, hotel and disney tickets all at the same time it would appear that they had over booked the hotel leaving us without a room. I asked to speak to the person in charge, I was then presented with the room division […] manager Nathalie Spearman who appeared tired and harassed. I was then told that we would have to travel to another hotel where we would spend our first night. I was not happy with this, but having our 4yr old grandson with us at 01.00am we needed to get him to bed. In the morning we arrived back at the Explorer to sort out the mix up, we where told that there was only one room avalible untill later, but was assured that when we returned from the disney parks that evening, everthing would be fine. So not wanting to waste any more of our time we accepted Nathalie Spearman's word and went to the parks. When we arrived back from the parks our rooms where ready for us. The hotel Explorers is a great hotel for families with a good swimming pool and play area. The free bus ride to Disney, which leaves ever 20 mins means our hire car was just a waste of money but were unaware of this at booking. Though we enjoyed our stay at the Explores Hotel our first night at an inferior venue spoiled the begining to what was to be a very special holiday for our grandson of 4(about to start to school on our return) and his pregnant mum.
