As a foreigner traveling in France, this was my third day with a car and GPS, but this hotel was really difficult to find. I ended up parking my car and walking around to find it. Then, the parking garage was a "blast." I decided that once I got the car in the garage, I wasn't leaving. Luckily, I had visited Versaille prior to checking in. "Lost in Versaille !"
We booked this hotel as an overnight on our way to the ferry from Cannes due to massive traffic jams we were running late. Called the hotel to say we would be late - whoever answered phone had no idea what I was saying and put phone down on me! We arrived in the area at 12.30 with the full adress in sat nav! We went round in circles for half hour! Girl […] on reception answered the phone in the middle of checking us in and wr just had to stand there while she dealt with call. Room ok basic but bed and put you bed comfy! Called to order food and ask for extra pillows person had no idea what I was saying and said he would come to the room! Bought pillows but reluctant to leave them - no pillowcases - explained we wanted soup and bread from menu available all the time! Not possible - on his own on whole hotel - could not do food! Bon acceuil à notre arrivée dommage que les lits enfants ne sont pas près de suite (il faut juste enlever la housse du canapé et tirer les lits mais quand on arrive tard et que les enfants sont fatigués... et sur le site on voit les lits prêts avec couette alors là non et ce ne sont que des couvertures.). Es […] bleibt da noch noch die Möglichkeit, sich eine Scheibe (Scheibchen) gekochten Schinken oder von einer Sorte Schnittkäse .Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis also unausgewogen. Sie locken Eltern zum teuren FRühstück indem sie das Kind zum kostenlosen Frühstück einladen.Trotzdem ist das Hotel für 1-2 Nächte geeignet wenn man das Schloß intensiv besichtigen will. Als feste Basis für Paris-Besichtigung ehre nicht geeignet weil man doch im Schnitt über eine Stunde bis zum z.B. Eifelturm benötigt. Und das trotz guter Verkehrsverbindungen der öffentl. Een goede uitvalsbasis richting Parijs met goede navigatieapparatuur. De bereikbaarheid richting de hoofdstad is via de A13 goed. De voorzieningen in het hotel zijn over het algemeen goed. Problemen zijn de klimaatbeheersing en de ontbijtservice. Een aantal kamers zijn veel te warm ingesteld, anderen te koud. Het personeel is meedenkend in het vinden […] van oplossingen (bv plaatsen ventilator, overboeken naar andere kamer). Verder hapert de service m.b.t. het ontbijt tegen 09.00: de buffettafel is met enige regelmaat leeg. Vervolgens wordt alles in het werk gesteld om iedereen te voorzien van een volledige ochtend maaltijd. En dat ritueel herhaalt zich elke ochtend. De klantgerichtheid van het personeel is daarmee uitermate goed. Binnen en rond het hotel is voldoende parkeergelegenheid. De kwaliteit van het diner is goed.
