"Lovely for single traveller"
I loved this hotel and my room. Now, I'd booked a single and that it was: glass walls for the bathroom so that sharing the room with someone else would have been - uncomfortable. But for one it was perfect. Room looked out at the side of a church, it was quiet, desk attendant was pleasant and welcoming, breakfast was delicious. Great location, just […] beyond tourist area though convenient to a lot. Hermes bath amenities, comfortable bed, welcoming bottle of wine (even thou I don't drink.). Picked this out of expedia due to location, but will recommend to friends in the future. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel in a fantastic location"
This was a great hotel. We stayed in the Suite Lumen with fantastic views of Saint Roch church. Also, it is within a 5-10 minute walk of the Louvre.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"MOst wonderful time in Paris"
The hotel is lovely. Small but very french and you can't beat the central location. The staff was wonderful to us and our room was picturesque- complete with two small balconies. We coul not have asked for more from this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location"
The hotel was walking distance to the Louvre, Orsay Museum, metro, laundry mat, restaurants, and much more. Service was fantastic, bed was very comfortable, and shower was spot on. My room came with a breakfast buffet. The food was superb and the service was fantastic. I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Friendliest staff"
The staff was friendly and absolutely bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. They agreed to hold our luggage while we went on a hike around Mont Blanc and had our luggage waiting in our room when we arrived after the hike and a long day on the train. The staff always took the time to listen and understand our questions and requests and did everything […] to make our stay memorable. The location is perfect with easy access to the Metro a block away and positioned between the Louvre and the Opera House on a quiet street yet close to Opera Ave. We will not bother shopping for other hotels on our next trip to Paris because we can't imagine finding a better hotel in a better location with a friendlier staff. Wonderful location. Small (to be expected) and clean room. Nice bathroom with towel warmer. Very comfy bed. Flat TV with multiple language channels available. In room WiFi. Large elevator. Very nice and helpful staff. Overall great!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location, but Needs Improvement"
Fantastic location near the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay and many other great sites. However the hotel is pretty run down and in need of serious renovation. The housekeeping was the worst, as several of the towels had make-up stains and the advertised Hermes toiletries were in short supply. In fact, there was never any conditioner or lotion and I stayed there […] for 4 days. Also, the twin beds weren't twins, but a king with two comforters folded to look like two twin beds. Fortunately the internet is free, but we had multiple connectivity issues and it kept dropping. That said the breakfast was quite good and again the location was great. I would rate this hotel as a 3 and would only recommend it to those who don't plan on spending much time in the room or the hotel. After all you're in Paris so there's lots to see.. "Hotel Lumen Paris Louvre - Perfect Stay"
Spent four enjoyable nights at the Hotel Lumen. The location is perfect, walking distance from all major tourist sites. The staff is fabulous: helpful and friendly. Dining was a delight, although a bit pricey. The area has many other places to eat, or enjoy a coffee or glass of wine. We highly recommend it to anyone wishing to enjoy Paris upclose.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A trip I will never forget"
I remember choosing Hotel Lumen because it was very close to the Louvre, but when my dad and I got there we realized it was at walking distance to many different places like the Opera House, Tuileries Garden, Champs-Élysées, restaurants and Paris Metro (there are 2 stations really close). The room may have been a little bit small but it was comfortable […] plus, it has a balcony and you can go outside to watch the view. The bathroom is also very comfy. The staff was so friendly and helpful; they were there whether for giving us directions or arranging for travel and making dinner reservations for us (every restaurant they recommended was really good). The breakfast was delicious, from croissants and mini baguettes to smoked salmon, prosciutto and Brie cheese (and this was just the beginning). Food at “Oscar” the hotel restaurant was really great. Plus, we got a complimentary half bottle of wine when we arrived to our room. The only problem we had was with the Internet connection, which got solved 2 days after we arrived. We spent a week at Hotel Lumen and I have to say that we had a great time. My dad and I will definitely stay there again and recommend it to family and friends. "Great location!! Excellent boutique hotel"
The hotel lumen is about as prime of a location as it gets!! Beautiful decor, Hermes bath products and even an American outlet in case you forgot an adapter. The free wifi and breakfast sealed the deal. I'll be back!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel Lumen- nice, friendly, convenient"
It's great when a four star hotel goes beyond the service level you expect. The location was convenient, located a short walk from the metro, and the staff was top notch. Everything about this place, from the friendliness of the staff to the cleanliness of the room and quality of the bed, took that extra weight of travelling off of our shoulders and […] made us relax a little bit more. The room was a little small, but everything else was perfect. Would definitely stay here again without thinking twice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lumen - close to metro, Lourve, La Grande Roue etc"

"love the decor & location!"
This is truly the best choice we made for our honeymoon trip. It's conveniently located near Louvre, Opera, Lafayette, subway lines, bus lines, River Seine. We knew most Paris hotels are tiny but this one is small but not ridiculous. The interior is really modern and also retro. Staffs are very polite and helpful and always around 24/7. The reservation […] included breakfast buffet daily - not bad! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location but tiny room"
You can't beat the location - 2 blocks from the Louvre and Tulleries; 4 blocks from the old Opera. Great for walking to all the sights. Plenty of cafes to choose from. Downside is it is a boutique hotel so there is nothing to do here - no nightlife, swimming, work out. We asked for a double bed and it was actually a king which was very nice. That was […] all that fit in the room though. We have a nice TV, "desk" which was really a hall table and chair but you couldn't sit in the chair if you had the luggage rack out. No drawers except two small ones in the small closet. Bathroom was very small with no vanity so it was difficult to get ready in. Beautiful church behind the hotel that has excellent art work - not mentioned in any books that we had. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"VERY NICE HOTEL!!!"
The hotel is in very good conditions, the room has a modern design it is very nice, the size of the room is a little bit small but I would say it is ok, the bathroom is excellent, the location is exellent, one block from louvre museum, the atention is excellent, the only thing I didnt like is the tv channels they are only in french and just a few channels […] in english but only news channels, for the price they shulod have cable television y several languages. But in general it is a very good hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Perfect contemporary boutique hotel a few short blocks to the Louvre. The Regina is tad bit closer to the Louvre but my husband and I prefer the modern design. Check out the headboard of the bed and the fancy chair in the reception area. Awesome photo opportunity. Our king bed was two twin beds which is probably the standard in Paris. Last minute purchases […] ie. snacks, cosmetics, alcohol and lingerie can be purchased at affordable prices two blocks from the hotel. 16 euros by cab the Eiffel Tower. We'll be back! "Great hotel! Perfect location! Great value!"
This hotel is a gem! The location is perfect, and within walking distance of most of the major museums and landmarks. Also, considering it's location, condition, and amenities, it was a very good value for a Paris hotel. It was literally two blocks from the Louvre, and the surrounding shopping and restaurants were great. The neighborhood was just far […] enough away from all of the other major monuments and the Champs Elysses to be safe. There are a lot of pickpockets and "sheisters" in some of the other neighborhoods closeby that prey on unsuspecting tourists. Our room was an Executive room. It was very modernly decorated, and large with a king sized bed that was very soft and comfortable with the best pillows I have ever slept on in a hotel. it also had separate climate control with a thermostat, which was great! The weather was cold at night when we were there, but our room was always comfortable. The bathroom was large and all marble. Beautiful modern fixtures, also. What I did not understand was that the shower had only a hand-spray shower head. No overhead or wall mounted sprayer. Seemed odd for an "Executive" room. The staff was very friendly, extremely helpful, and fluent in English. They helped us every day to find our way around, and were quick to respond to any request we had for anything we needed. Certainly, the service was "Executive"! I would most definitely return to this hotel! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A wonderful place to call home while in Paris!"
The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. The room was not ready when I first arrived, but there was no problem with storing my luggage until I returned from sight seeing. The room was small according to american standards, but was very classy and had everything I needed. When I reported a problem, it was taken care of immediately and without […] complaint. The bathroom was very clean, had great water pressure in the shower, and always had hot water. It was walking distance from many cafes, the metro all the major landmarks. Overall a wonderful place to call home while in Paris! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great staff, Great hotel"

"PARIS VACATION"
Very convenient location. Room was extremely small. No table to put anything on. Staff at reception was great especially a young lady who went out of her way to help in us in getting around. The air conditioning was excellent which is a miracle to find in Europe. Breakfast was great which was included in our stay. The rooms need more light, at night […] time I had to keep the bathroom door open if I wanted to read if not it was very dark in the room. The hallways are very dark too, they should have more lights, not able to see anything. The bathtub is kind of dangerous cause there is nothing to hold onto getting in or out and very small, you had to put one foot in front of the other if not water would accumulate while bathing. They made our room every day and it was very clean. Great neighborhood the only bad thing is they had a construction going on outside of the hotel. But in general we really had a wonderful time. The people from Paris and in general from other places in France really welcomed us and treated us like their own. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Perfect location for Central Paris and Louve"
This Hotel was absolutely in the perfect location. About 2 blocks from the main strip of the Louve, Orley, Siene River, Opera House, Etc. Restaurants were on every corner and the Metro was basically right in front of the hotel. The Iffel tower was about a 1 hour walk or 2 miles. We took a cab back. This location was much more convenient than staying […] by the Iffel tower. Front desk people were extremely friendly and helped us everytime we needed directions, dinner reservations, and recommendations. They were very knowledgable about everything we asked them. The rooms were very nice and perfect size if you are not expecting a living room in your travels. Very clean and the bathrooms were new with full tub and toilet. The beds were VERY comfortable and we used their stocked small fridgerator to keep our leftovers. Maid service was good and they left mints and the weather forcast for the next day every evening at turn down. Nice touch. The breakfast buffet included in our package was good but not great. It had all the basics to fill up with including eggs, ham slices, toast, cereal, yogart, fruit, crossaunts, etc....but don't expect a fat omlette like you would get from a Marriot. All very convenient. I highly recommend this hotel for everything it offers Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel Lumen Was Great!"
We just spent 10 days at the Hotel Lumen. The staff was wonderful, the room comfortable - 5th floor, lots of light, good bedding, great bathroom. Breakfast each morning was served in a beautiful setting and the quality and variety was very good. The location of the hotel was also excellent. One half block to Faubourg St. Honore, one and a half blocks […] to the Louvre and the Opera Garnier. I particularly enjoyed the sound of church bells from St. Roch next door. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers and would stay here again. Staff were extremely helpful and thoughtful. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A MUST STAY"
Hotel Lumen is a perfect location with and excellent staff. Yes the paint on the walls was not up to par. There were also water spots and leaks in the ceiling. However, the room was spacious for a European hotel, and incredibly comfortable. The staff was multi-lingual and extremely accommodating.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Tiny even by Paris standards"
The hotel has a great location, an easy walk in every direction and close to the a couple of metro stops. I've been to Paris many times and by far this hotel has the smallest rooms with not enough lighting. Turndown service is spotty at best. I didn't really need help for directions or dining reservations so my contact with front desk was limited. One […] major problem was the bathroom -small, small, small. Very bad lighting, no fan - the mirror would fog up, the shower curtain would fly into the stream of water. The worst though, the water temperature was uncontrolable as was the shower/hand/tub fawcets. Just turning the water on was like taking a shower dressed. I ended up taking baths (less steam, no haunted shower curtain, and the water could cool down to a decent temperature) The halls were on sensors for the lights to come on so I was in darkness (at all times of day or night for about 5 seconds) until I was about 10 yards from my room. The bed was comfortable and if you are lucky you will hear beautiful music coming from the church next door. Still, it was PARIS, too many other things to distract me from a hotel room I was hardly in. One last comment. The restaurant is closed on Sunday, and would not serve me a cafe before 7:00 am the morning I was checking out...my taxi was coming at 7:10 and I really could have used a wake up cafe!! "Superb location"
We had a classic room, which was fine. It was a compact room but how much time do you actually spend hanging out in the room if you are there for a few days. The shower screen was ridiculously inadequate in that it did not cover much of the bath. There was also a crack in it. The WiFi didn't work in the room. The location is simply superb, it is at the heart of all the major attractions, on a main but quiet-ish, beautiful Parisian street (Rue de Pyramides). We had a superior room, just fantastic. The bed was HUGE, I couldn't even see my Wife. Breakfast was good but not enough cooked items for my personal taste, my Wife loved it. The staff were generally […] very accommodating with the exception of one of the breakfast staff who was very slow at refilling empty coffee jugs, milk jugs, bacon etc and had a face like a wet weekend, tres miserable! "Gem in the heart of Paris"
The Lumen Paris Louvre Hotel is an unassuming boutique hotel in the 1st Arrondissement, central for all the top attractions: Louvre, Arc d'Triomphe, Champs de Élysées: Musee d'Orsay, Galleries Lafayette. It is situated on Rue Pyramides, between the famous designer shopping street of Rue de St Honore and Rue de Opera. The Lumen was spotlessly clean and […] beautifully decorated in chic tones of grey and black. The staff were professional, polite and all spoken several languages, they were accommodating and couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. We only took breakfast at the hotel but it was a substantial buffet of everything one could possibly wish for. "Great location"
Great location, as a first time visitor I wanted to be close to the tourist offers, and this hotel is very well located, walking distance from most places. Hotel is clean and the people there are very usefull and speak english (one of them spoke Russian aswell). The room was very clean, although its was sligthtly smaller than I was use too, also the […] decor was rather dark, which might not be to everybodies taste. The only negative thing was it can be quite noisy with a busy street below, the main problem is the scooters, but this could be the same problem for most of the hotels in the area.
