Pullman Paris Bercy

This is the best place to stay. The hotel is situated very close to the Metro, shops, grocery store, etc. The staff greets everyone upon entering the hotel. They are fluent in French and English and pamper you with everything you could imagine. Thanks for a great stay and I will be looking forward to coming back next year.

Very 'chic' hotel. Staff very helpful and pleasant. We had trouble with the A/C and a broken window latch, and the hotel addressed it in less than an hour. Beds are very comfortable. We didn't eat any meals at the hotel, so can't comment on that.

This hotel is very nice- modern, nice rooms. However, the free wi-fi is very annoying, having to login every time and sometimes being kicked off in the middle of a session and having to login again. That might not be a problem for some, but for frequent internet users it was a pain.

We arrived bright and early and were checked in immediately (2 rooms) by a very pleasant registration staff. A big plus was that they mostly spoke sufficient English to ease us through as our French was nonexistant! The decor throughout is Modern and the rooms were great...fairly large by European standards. There were a few minor glitches during our […] week stay such as TV remote battery replacement (3 requests over 2 days!), burned out lamp bulb and one day of missed towel replacement (even though the soiled towels were on the floor (rehung!). Initially, we thought that the hotel (used by our tour operator) was a little too removed from the major sights; however, the proximity (about 2 city blocks) to the well run Paris Metro negated our concern. Getting to any major sight was quick and easy. Within a block is a collection of shops and restaurants. The latter provide a good mix of choices […] in a very safe surrounding. A number of them provided an English version of their menu Hotel staff were very helpful. Rooms and bathrooms were larger than expected. The shower leaked, but otherwise the place was in great shape. The pillows were so comfortable, I wish I could have fit them into a suitcase. The restaurant offered a very respectable buffet breakfast. If we go back to Paris, we'd seriously consider this hotel, or would look at the Pullman near the Eiffel Tower as a possible alternative. We went here on our honeymoon. The first night we arrived there was a loud humming noise coming from the ceiling. We called maitenance and they did not come to check on the noise. We were awaken by the noise at 4:00 a.m. My husband went down to speak with the front desk and demanded that the room be compensated and that we have a new room. They assured […] us that someone would be up to check immediately. We were allowed to move to a new room. We were then informed that the breakfast was complimentary, but were charged at the end of our stay. At check out no one would acknowledge our room change and inconvenience and would not allow us to speak with a manager. They charged us for the breakfast, despite being told differently and would not acknowledge their mistake. Terrible customer service, no sympathy or empathy for the first night of our honeymoon being ruined by their faulty electric. Very far out of the way, not convenient to any other locations. The Pullman isn't located in a tourist area, but is right on the Metro line, which gives you quick access to any and all areas of Paris. We were so happy with the Pullman Hotel at Bercy that we would not stay any place else on our next visit to Paris. It is definitely 4-Star quality. The location was perfect. Located near a business complex, park, and the most wonderful cafes and shops a Paris visitor could expect. The Bercy wine buildings of the past have been turned into numerous cafes […] and shops in a village atmosphere. The store was especially convenient for water, sodas, and snacks, but it also sold clothing and cosmetics. A multi-plex cinema theatre is at the street's end, and the Cour St-Emilion tube depot is part of the village complex and extremely convenient. We did not eat at the Pullman restaurant or bar. The prices were comparable to the Bercy Village, but the village was so much more fun. We loved the refrigerator in the hotel, the great queen-sized bed (which was wonderfully comfortable), and the beautiful hotel in general. The staff was extremely helpful and the language barrier at the hotel, Bercy village, and surrounding area was never a problem. We expected the French people to be a little snooty and unfriendly, but we found them to be friendly and accommodating. Getting around on the Paris tube was easy. One stop over from the Cour St-Emilion station is the Bibliotheque/St. Mitterand trail station. We found this extremely convenient to take to Versailles, Notre Dame and other tourist attractions that are a must see in Paris. We stayed for 6 nights and hated to leave. Read more

Overall was a great stay - included a breakfast buffet for our party each day that was filled with choices that satisfied both the adults and children in our party. If you do not have breakfast included in your pkg make sure to visit the Bercy Village across the street for more economical choices. Unfortunately, we had a mix-up with an excursion that was booked with someone at the concierge desk that took us 4 lengthy conversations to finally correct. Despite the same, the overall stay was good, the front desk staff were reasonably accomodating, the location was good for us and we enjoyed our time in Paris. Note: although this is a business persons hotels, I would still recommend it to those who want to be away from the hustle bustle of downtown Paris, while still being close enough for a 15 Euro taxi ride to main touristy areas, or a 15 mins metro ride. We stayed at this hotel for two days as part of our trip to Paris. Trying to locate it on the map was not easy so we had to get two taxis from the station to take all the luggage for the party of six. When you arrive there you discover that it is actually only a short walk from the Metro so clearer directions would have been benficial. We had requested a family room for two adults and two children and a second room for two adults and ended up with two rooms for three people. We had to take the sofa apart to find the third ready made bed - nobody explained this. We rang Housekeeping to ask for a quilt for each of the extra beds. When they didn't arrive after an hour we rang again and was told to ring Reception. We did this and the quilts still did not arrive so we managed without them. Not the most customer focussed of establishments but the staff around the Receiption were happy to answer questions. I would not go out of my way to stay here again but in fairness I cannot fault it either - just prefer a more responsive, friendlier service. Read more

Alternatively, this hotel is also only a few minutes walk from the river, and if you feel energetic you walk into town on the banks of the Seine, its takes about an hour. After a month travelling in France in 3 & 4 star hotels the Pullman Paris Bercy is definitely the best. The staff are excellent and a clear cut above those experienced elsewhere. The Metro […] is close by and is easy to use. But for a totally different experience try using the Velib system (bicycles). This was a very cost effective and easy method of experiencing Paris. Most routes have dedicated cycle tracks so you can mainly keep away from the traffic. Even when you have to use the roads it's not as bad as it looks.
