"Service not what we expected for the price"
Considering the construction, the hotel was in pretty good shape. The staff however were not helpful and in fact quite the opposite. I was with my three young granddaughters and expected the concierge would be of great help. He sent us to a restaurant that was extremely expensive and the waiter was extremely rude. He got us a taxi that cost twice as […] much an any other taxi. He sent us off to the Muse d'Orsay on a Monday morning, not informing us that it was closed. At other hotels we have used at this price we have had only the best information and helpfulness from the concierge . This was very disappointing. "Very pleasant experience"
Close to shopping and sights as well as metro, staff extremely accommodating, it felt very plush. It was nice to have help and advice from staff in a city where we were unfamiliar with the language and culture. "Sofitel - Arc de Triomphe - Paris"
The hotel is in a nice quiet location, but still close to major landmarks such as the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysee. Annoyingly one of our rooms was not ready on arrival, even though it was 5pm. However, the management did offer a complimentary drink in the bar while we waited, about 20 mins. The rooms (deluxe) and bathrooms were spacious and well […] equipped. The cleaning service was very good. Free wi-fi throughout the hotel, although connection in the room sometimes required assistance from the technical department. The quality of the concierge staff varied from excellent to average. All ordered taxis arrived on time, I recommend this if you are a group of 4 people. The breakfast is expensive, but the pastries are excellent quality. If cost is an issue there are cafes within a 5 minute walk. We would stay again if coming to Paris next month!
