Paris’ tallest and most famous landmark, the Eiffel Tower stands amid government and residential buildings on the Left Bank. It overlooks the Champs de Mars lawns and monuments including Les Invalides and the Ecole Militaire. Main museums are the Musée d’Orsay, the Musée Rodin and the ethnographic Musée du Quai Branly. The 7th is a popular starting point for riverboat trips.

If you are used to USA hotels, you will still be very happy with your stay. The bathroom was great! The room was clean. The location is close to the Eiffel Tower and even a little store - so that you can get some bottled water.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent Paris location"
Great hotel, great staff, great location. Family vacation with 2 boys 15 and 19. Had a large room for 4 with plenty of room. Right by the Eiffel Tower, 1/2 block from the Subway , 1 block from Rue Clar Very easy to get to all sights of Paris. Rec by Rick Steve's. only downside was according to Rick Steve's guidebook we should get free breakfast by mentioning […] his book. Hotel did not honor free, but reduced price to 8 euros per person. "Good location in a great city"
The hotel staff was very courteous, the only complaint was the wi-fi did not have a very good connection and was difficult to maintain. The location was great, some very good food right around the corner, and a lovely walk up to the Eiffel Tower every day is something that can't be beat. There was also a metro station very close, great stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Really nice sized room"
Nothing flashy about this place. Feels a bit on the old side. Elevator is small, slow and really had me questioning whether it was worth it or if I should just carry all of our bags up all 4 flights of stairs! Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet is small, but pretty decent for the price. Not much of a view at all unless you stick […] your head out of the window to peek at the top quarter view of the Eiffel. AC in the room kept things comfy. The really big pluses I thought: a) Room size. Two really nice sized beds in a good sized room, plenty of space for my wife, daugther and myself (note a bit on the drab side decoration wise); b) nice large clean bathroom; c) Really nice location. Stone thrown to Champ de Mars, a good number of restaurants are down the street or around the corner, and a grocery store almost right next door. If you want to focus your time on the Louvre, Orsay or Notre Dame, you might want to stay a little closer to that area of the Left Bank - it's a very healthy walk over to that area. Doable (I ran it), but long. I'd suggest a Batobus pass (water ferry) that leaves from just adjacent to the Eiffel and has stops at all of the major sites along the Seine. Only real knocks against this hotel - no microwaves in room and if you're not very spry - you might want to ask for a room on the 2nd floor, else you may find yourself climbing a lot of stairs. "Family Vacation of 4"
The front staff was very frendly and spoke very good english. They provided a baby crib at no add'l charge. WiFi did not work in our room, however they do have 2 computers in the lobby that can be used. Great location to the Eifel Tower.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Value"
The hotel was clean and nicer than what I expected for the price (budget) in Europe (typically small, old, and cramped). I took my American parents there to stay on their first trip to Europe and they were fine with it. The staff was very friendly and it is not far from the Eiffel Tower, but not so close that there are men selling plastic Eiffel Towers […] on a chain. Very good experience. "Great location! Room could have been better."
Room was ok(Full size Dbl Bed) very old/dated furnishings and the Bathroom had some problems. No amenities to speak of, except for a lame 25 Euro Breakfast, so we didn't have breakfast there. The hotel was recently sold and the new owners didn't buy the restaurant. People at the front desk were helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel with friendly staff."
The hotel is in a very safe location, very close to the Eiffel Tower. Short walk to a number of restuarants. The room size was fairly typical for a room in Paris (meaning not that big). TV was fine. Toilet and shower were ok. Bring Shampoo and a bar of soap as they have a dispensor on the wall that spits out pink stuff that is intended to be both but […] which is neither. Wifi disappointing. Only worked well from the lobby. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location - You Get What You Pay For"
The hotel is exactly what you would expect from a Paris 3 star. Average service and average rooms. That said, the location is great and the price was right...you are not in Paris to hangout in your hotel room. I also want to be clear that it was not bad; it just isn't great except for the location and the willingness of the front desk to give you a […] room with a view if you ask nicely (and in French!) If I come back to Paris with my kids we'd stay again (the quad room is good). If I return with my wife alone, we'd spend a bit more to upgrade. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fabulous location - great for families"
The hotel was very close to the Eiffel Tower, which was very convenient for the evening light show. You were just a very short walk to the hotel after it ended. The neighborhood was very nice and there is a grocery store right next store. An ATM and a metro stop are around the corner, and Rue Cler is around the corner and up a block. For Paris, the […] room was large, with two double beds, two sinks, a large bathroom and a separate toilet area. The only issue was there were only two outlets, which made charging phones, etc. , difficult. The room had large windows with a balcony. We kept the windows open all night and it was awesome. The small balcony had a view of the Eiffel Tower. The hotel employees were polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again. Great experience. "Great visit to Paris"
We enjoyed our visit at this hotel. Front desk staff were very nice, helpful and professional. Breakfast was a nice, filled us for a nice beginning to a day of sightseeing. Our room had a separate bathroom from the shower/sink area so if that is an issue for you, ask about the room configuration. They are all different. They have a dispenser on the wall […] for hand soap/shower gel and shampoo. If you want conditioner, bring it.The room was clean, beds comfortable. No view if you ask for a quiet room. The location is great, close to the metro, Rue Cler with lots of nice restaurants. La Terrace restaurant was great and very close by. The grocery store next door is closed on Sunday. If you visit the Louvre, I would recommend doing the DS Masterpiece Audio Tour- it was quite enjoyable and had a GPS system so you could find your way. After the tour was over, it was overwhelming getting around trying to find art etc. with the large number of tourists. Walking up two flights of the Eiffel Tower was an incredible experience, I would recommend it. You can get a ticket for the stairs and take the elevator from there. Versailles was incredible-you have to go. The gardens were magnificent. If you want to get a weekly metro pass, bring a passport sized photo for your pass or pay 5 euros and get one on the spot at the station. We also got the 4 day museum pass and enjoyed many museums and sights. Have fun and enjoy this beautiful city!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Hotel is in Paris - close to the Eiffel Tower"
This hotel was comfortable and clean. However for the price it was disappointing. It was old and outdated. The 10 Euro's for breakfast was worth the money. I thought it would be closer to the Eiffel tower than it was. More like a 10 minute walk and you could only see the top from the hotel you would hardly say you get a good view of it. This is a great little hotel. Friendly staff. Convenient to metro trains and attractions. A bit older, but very nice. It would not be a five star by US standards, but well maintained and very clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great neighborhood hotel"
The location of this hotel was terrific as it was within walking distance of many great sites. Our room was nice and comfortable, not cramped at all, with 2 beds that were nice and firm (prefer harder to softer mattresses). My mom didn't like that the toilet was separate from the rest of the bathroom but I didn't mind. The decor is definitely more old […] fashioned but reminded us of Hotel Colorado, which similarly is older but it gives the place character. The lift is tiny and so we were happy to be on the 1st floor where we could take the stairs daily. The grocery store right next door was definitely convenient as we could get drinks and little things that like easily. Like any hotel, some of the staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful, like Christian, who worked the night shift. Some, like this rather unapproachable looking man, looked bothered when I asked him to please reserve a taxi for me because the driver who had given me his info didn't speak hardly any English...I ended up having the lady who worked with him do it for me instead and it still took a little bit of asking to get it done...another red-headed lady who worked during the day on at least 2 days of our stay was also extremely helpful with getting us set up with tours, etc. The hotel breakfast offered was very reasonably priced (15 Euros) and tasty, so we took advantage of it on at least 2 occasions, esp. since it was available from 7-11am. The free computers (2) and printer in the hotel lobby were also great, hardly in use, and very convenient! Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it to other travelers in the area! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Location trumps EVERYTHING!"
The hotel's location was even better than I had hoped! Proximity to Tour Eiffel was amazing - I think some rooms even had a partial view. There were plenty of places to eat nearby, including a little grocery store right next door. The Metro was convenient, too. Front-desk staff were as friendly and helpful as anyone could want, and the room/bath were […] spacious (by Paris standards) and clean. My only complaint - a comment, really, more than a complaint - was that the room's decor lacked character and the appointments were not as up-scale as I am accustomed to in that price range. Bearing in mind that the hotel truly was in an amazing location, and priced much lower than others I have stayed at in Paris, I would wholeheartedly recommend it to those to whom value and location are more important than style. Hotel is in walking distance to the Eiffel Tower; Invalades; Seine river; Boat tours; bus tours; Metro station, and lots of cafes, and Rue Cler! Must see Eiffel Tower at night! "Great location by the Eiffel Tower"
A dream location close to the Eiffel tower, in a great neighborhood. We could see half of the Tower from our balcony which made for awesome nights. the hotel is also close to many restaurants as well as a beautiful pedestrian street that doubles as a local market. We went to Paris with our 18 month old daughter and grandma, and the room we were given […] was large enough to accommodate all of us, albeit not with a lot of room left, but sufficient to sleep comfortably. "Hotel de la bourdonnais"
The interior design of the room is very beautiful with cushion and drapes matching to the molded ceiling. The room has antique furniture. The bathroom is modern. The bedding is very comfortable and clean. We will definitely stay there again. The hotel charges 11 euros for breakfast. Why not buy your own bread and drinks at the nearby grocery stores […] and bakery. The hotel is closed to the "ecole militaire" metro station. There are grocery store next to the hotel, and there're grocery store and bakery near the metro station. Eiffel tower is only 5 blocks away. We are asked the front desk to arrange the airport shuttle for us. It costs us 20 euros, but if you arrange it online using the airport shuttle brochure, it will cost you less. The hotel has a rackful of brochures in the lobby area. Beware of the pickpockets. They are everywhere. Someone picked my pocket, but was able to notice it to get back my stuff. "OK location, poor quality hotel"
You really need to stick your head far out the room window in order to see the Eiffel Tower (as it is shown in the hotel website photo). But in a 10 minute walk, you are at the Eiffel Tower. This is a standard, old hotel in a nice neighborhood. The hotel is in need of upgrading. The room was very small and not very clean. The breakfast was extra - and […] totally not worth it.
