Concorde Opéra Paris

I think this was a great deal for price. The lobby was beautiful and oranate. We got a small room for an excellent price. Thw bathroom was not that great, tiles and grout had some black and were older. Definitely not a 4 star bathroom/room rating. More like a 3 star. But definitely acceptable. The only concern I had was that we confirmed a king size […] (one bed) They put us in early check in which was fantastic , in a room facing Main Street. It was awesome BUT it was 2 single beds put together. We did not notice til we had unpacked everything and went to bed. Next morning we asked to fix and they wanted us to pay for upgrade. We asked for them to waive charge but they wouldn't. We had to repack everything (when on vacation this is a hassle), wait for porter to show up to help us move... They gave us a much smaller room overlooking an interior courtyard of roofs and mechanicals. It would have been much better business sense to include the upgrade especially since we had to re-pack and wait to get moved. However, I roils highly recommend this hotel, it's a great plaice, the staff was awesome and I didn't mind a small room with an older bathroom. Read more

The room was a junior suite but it needed maintance. There were stains on the carpet, paint chipping, dirty base boards, mold in the shower. I would not rate this a 4 star hotel.

NO AC! they just give you a junky fan, They Also charged us $58 per day for breakfast which they told us was going to be free. The concierge was helpful with instructions on using the Metro, which was very conveniently located. Lobby is beautiful. Staff is very nice. Room had a lot of paint peeling and shower had a hole in the ceiling. A/C was not comfortable, alternative was to open a window but it faced the train station which was noisy.

Beautiful hotel... Great location - near train station, metro and a multitude of restaurants & shopping. Excellent service with friendly help. Our room was comfortable for 3 people, with windows opening to the street. The windows were thick and solid, blocking out all but construction noise (which no window could do). The room was very neat and clean […] as well, with more than adequate space. Elevators were always available and easily fit several people, as opposed to some smaller Paris hotel elevators. And above all, the lobby is stunning. The only nitpicks to even comment on would be that the shower tiles could use a bit of attention (in the grout), and the bathroom could use some ventilation. Also there was no view - their website refers to views from all rooms. When we enquired at front desk we were told that there are two types of rooms - the inside and the outside - nowhere on any of the internet references […] for this hotel does it say that a superior room as opposed to a delux room would have no view. The hotel provided everything one would expect: clean rooms, prompt room-makeup, friendly, efficient front-desk and concierge service. It's location adjacent to Gare St Lazare makes it handy for getting around if you choose to take the Metro and there were always taxis in front of the hotel. It is maybe 10 blocks from Plaza de la Concorde and the Champs […] Elysee. It is a fun walk between them with plenty of shops and eateries. It is also close to the Garnier Opera and, if you like walking, within reasonable distance to the Louvre in one direction and the Arch de Triomphe in the other. We asked for buckets of ice each evening for our Champagne and it always arrived within minutes. I can find no faults with the htoel. Read more

Upon arrival, we upgraded to the Rotunde Suite because it was available earlier-- and it was amazing!! The walk-in closet was lined in wood and plenty big. The ceilings were high and we had 3 big bay windows on the corner. The room was a really nice size. The website says the room has a Queen bed but it actually has a King. The hotel itself was great. The area...not so much. The hotel is right beside a major train station, which can be good if you are connecting to other cities and the metro is just around the corner. However, the homeless and street people are living on the curb right beside the hotel! There was a lot of noise at night from street bikes and people yelling […] on the streets. We had 2 nights at this hotel. Upon check in we were upgraded to a suite. The room was spacious, comfortable and we did not want for anything. The location was excellent for shopping and access to the Metro. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel to other travellers. Hotel is beautiful and the staff was very helpful. I often expect European hotel rooms to be small, but this one was plenty big, and the bathroom was spacious too. The tub was a little high to climb into the shower, so beware if you have mobility problems. The location cannot be beat. Hotel was nice, staff very courteous, and the location was centrally located to major points of interest (i.e., Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, etc). Starbucks on the corner and McDonalds across the street came in handy for a quick meal or coffee. the hotel was good on the whole. a bit cheaper than others of the same standard in the area. that said, the internet connection (despite being free) was painfully slow. almost like the internet was in 1999. unless that is fixed i will have to consider looking at something else.
