Hotel lobby is undergoing much needed renovations. Renovated guest rooms and baths are much larger than I had anticipated, very nice, excellent beds, and very sound proof rooms. Breakfast in the Justine restaurant is much better than being seated in the overflow room. Lunch at the Justine lunch buffet was excellent, but beware of very expensive beverages […] in this restaurant. Lines for Concierge were long, and I was not pleased with some of the mis-information I was provided by the concierge regarding local tours. Received incorrect information twice, which greatly inconvenienced us as our stay in Paris was not long enough to make up the time we lost due to the Concierge error. I travel extensively and I highly recommend the Pullman Paris Montparnasse. The hotel itself is very well located right across the street from the Montparnasse train station and from the Air France airport suttle bus. Montparnasse iteself is a good, central location with lots of restaurants and a highly animated ambience. You can walk from here to St. […] Germain du Pres, (if you like to walk) and other areas. The lobby is a bit drab, however the rooms are bright, very spacious, well appointed, very clean, and the bathroom is luxurious by French standards. The beds were very comfortable with nice duvets, extras cushiony pillows, and we happend to have a regal view of Paris from the 10th floor. This is not exactly a criticism since it seems like a going trend in Europe ( we have seen elevated tubs in many European countries) but I suggest not to make bathroom tubs so high. Hotel was just outside city center of Paris in Montparnasse area but there are good restaurants nearby and you can walk to the Eiffel Tower in about 40 mins. The hotel is kind of "hip" and the rooms were nice and clean. I thought the value for cost was very good.

Got upgraded to a deluxe room, newly refurbished with an extremely comfortable king-size bed and beautiful bathroom. This is one of the best hotels that I have ever been to in Europe in general. Unlike American hotels, most hotels in Europe are small. This hotel is very much like a hotel in the US with the usual amenities. Their elevators require your room keys to operate. The only word of caution I have is getting a taxi ride from here to the airport. It costs about $60-$70 euros but it could be more depending on how many luggage you have as the drivers charge extra for these.Taking the metro to/from the airport would be cheaper but beware of pick-pocketers especially as you get on the train. Hotel was very clean and staff were professional and courteous. We arrived at 11am and hotel check-in is 2pm so we had to wait which was not great after a 10hr flight but they worked hard to get it ready and we were able to check-in at 12pm. That is a good example of how the staff were receptive to making our stay as welcome as possible.

We were visiting Paris as a family of 4 and wanted hotel near major metro lines and with a comfortable amount of space with air conditioning as we expected it to be hot while we were there. The Pullman Montparnasse was all of that and more. Our room had 2 queen beds, table with two comfortable chairs, large flatscreen, safe, large closet space, a coffee […] maker and a paid minibar. The view was simple city regional but who goes to Paris to look at the views from the hotel room? Our french is limited but we had no issues - the entire front desk staff, concierge and restaurant staff spoke english very well and were patient with our attempts to speak french. The hotel is quiet and located near one of the large stations in Paris for trains/metro so getting anywhere in the city was a breeze. The Montparnasse area of Paris has plenty of restaurants and general shopping for any forgotten needs. One of our favorites in Paris is just around the corner - Le Relais de l'Entrecôte Montparnasse. Best steak and frites in the city... Since we had 4 people, we opted for the included breakfast, it was a great way to start the day. There was something for each of us to eat, we never missed a day to opt for "other" outside choices. In short, if you are comfortable staying in a place like a Hyatt in the US with a family of 4, you'll be impressed with this. Read more

(We were from NYC with a 6 hour time difference.) We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel daily. Staff in the restaurant was very attentive to your request, eventhough it was a buffet. I observed they did not refuse customers even when they arrived after the cut-off time. This hotel is located near supermarkets, 24 hour restaurants, and the metro. We also ventured out and found a nice spa nearby. The neighborhood was safe. No one bothered us (3 females) as when returned at 2am. Although, we did observe a great deal of homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks or steps of buildings. Perfect located wirhin short walking distance to Metro station Montparnasse. We travelled with 2 children 3,5 & 6 years. We could even got our room, located on 14th floor, before official check-in time and had a perfect view over Paris and its sightseeings. Bathroom very clean and many toiletries articles. Breakfast was very good, once we were there […] with tons of others and food run out quickly, but always the filled them up very quickly and we only had to wait less than 2 min. We appreciated the fresh fruits and fruit salade as well the crispy croissants and mini baguettes. Coffee/tea will be served by the waiters. Great location right by the Montparnasse metro/train station. We could get anywhere in Paris in 15-20 minutes. The rooms were clean and well appointed. We requested adjoining rooms and they were able to do that. Breakfast was a little on the light side but even the kids were able to find enough to eat to hold them until lunch. This hotel was a great location for our stay as it was near the Metro Station. So after our long journey, we didn't have to walk far from the Metro to get to our hotel. There is a mall with a small food market about 100 ft from the hotel (exit and walk right). The supermarket gives you the option of buying water/food/snacks for your day excursions at […] a much less cost than from the hotel. Breakfast was included with our rate - which was great, and so was wireless internet connection. There was an option for a faster connection speed (for a fee), but for checking email, etc..the lower speed was perfect. We had a great time in Paris. The hotel staff were very friendly. Some floors had construction going on, so we had some noise. The concierge folks were very helpful. Keep in mind that they mark up ticket prices. Getting into the Louvre is really easy to get into if you use one of the three other entrances rather then the pyramid. This hotel is tired and expensive for its lack of upkeep. The walls had scuffmarks on them in both the room and bathroom. In the hallway, the doors were dirty with fingerprints and smudges. You no longer have the option of getting breakfast with the room - instead it's an expensive $36 per person, if you want to do that. Instead, just go into Gaite […] mall and grab something from the boulangerie/patisserie counter - or in the train station itself... or just down the street there are cafes and other breakfast options. We stayed in a room with two double beds with our kids. The room was very quiet (15th floor), large and clean, and the staff was very nice. The elevators were a bit slow, but they came eventually. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant as there are several good places in the area. There is also a small store just a few steps away from the hotel entrance […] where you can get drinks, yogurt and a few "picnic" items (they even have Starbucks frappachios). There is a bakery just a little further away across from the Tour Montparnasse and Galerie Lafayette entrances where you can pick up yummy croissants and pain au chocolats for breakfast. The kids loved eating at the table in the room while watching TV (they don't get to do that at home). The cab ride to the airport on Saturday midday was easy and cost only 65 Euros. After a few weeks in Europe, this was by far our best experience. A classy, business-friendly hotel with excellent service by both the Reception and the Concierge. Only thing is, if you have a Macbook air be sure to bring a usb to ethernet cable––no wifi in the rooms! But super, super high speed internet (a rarity in Europe) in the lobby.

We stayed one night after taking the TGV from Bordeaux to Paris. The hotel is a short walk from Montparasse station. It is also convenient for the Metro. We stayed their this April 2012. We loved it. The staff is very nice. We needed an iron and electrical converter and they got it free for us immediately. The room was very comfortable. We had breakfast included. It was quite good. The hotel is almost directly across from where the Air France coach drops you (coach number 4 takes you to Gare Lyon and Gare Montparnasse). The Metro station is at the corner of the street (approximately 150 yards away). So on a convenience level it is easy to find and use as a base for exploring. We went in February and were unaware that "air conditioning" […] in France means only heat in the winter months - not the same as we think of it in the USA, so the room was warm the first night. The beds were a little hard, but not uncomfortable. They let us check in early, without any fuss and the breakfast in the morning was a great start to the day. Everyone in the hotel spoke English and the concierge was excellent!! My only regret is that we didn't ask him to plan an itinerary for us, as one of the museums was closed on the last day of our trip - something I didn't plan for.
