Capital of the Riviera, Nice is famed for its sleek shops and avant-garde cultural scene. The palm-lined Promenade des Anglais extends along the pebbly beaches of the Baie des Anges past expensive hotels and a casino. Higher up, the quaint alleys of old Nice meander past baroque churches. The exclusive Cimiez neighbourhood has Roman remains and two excellent modern art museums. Carnival and the July Jazz Festival attract many visitors.

It was a very nice stay. The hotel room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast at the restaurant was awesome. Really delicious. The pool area, although was closed it had a dream view to the Cote D'azur ocean. A real dream!!!! No complains. Great stuff.I would definitely recommend and stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nothing special."
Hotel has a private beach, but what a shame, they are charging EUR 15 for daily entree for hotel clients. The price they charge for people who are not Radisson clients is EUR 18. Thus, the value of being Radisson customer is only EUR 3. They are so opportunistic.Genuine Expedia guest review

"best choice for a modern and well appointed hotel"
Great sea view location and modern functional design! The convenience to go to the beach or to use the rooftop pool and restaurant , at the same time to have free shuttle on the hour - to the city center / is unparalleled! Decent breakfast buffet and competitively priced; beach accommodations that are way more affordable than the center - all great […] things! Superb concierge service. - mark girrado is a treasure! "Nice hotel. Should improve on the quality of staff"
Terrible staff for the cars. Took them almost 25 minutes to find my car key and bring my car. This can happen at any hotel, but a first for me when the bell boy stressfully raises his voice and says "if you are not satisfied, you can fill in a complaint form"!!! Just find my key, my friend, let me decide what to fill!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"nice hotel but a little too far from town center"
Everything was fine - just a little too far from old town center - a 45-minute walk, but it's a pretty walk along the water. There's a free shuttle every hour to take you to the old town. The staff was very friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our stay here was very pleasant. It is far from all the action in Nice, especially if you are walking!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Isolated location-no restaurants in sight"
I thought the hotel itself was nice. Location terrible for sightseeing or dining out. No bistro within walking distance. Across from the beach and a very busy street. If you request Seaside view...it is a very noisy seaside view. No restaurants within walking distance of hotel. The restaurant in hotel was booked. Buffet was pitiful. Could not order […] dinner in the bar area. Was told I needed to order room service. This is France/Nice-home of gastronomy? Grossly overpriced. Not a 5 star hotel or location. The staff really tried to be service oriented but they had no food services to provide. Would not stay there in Nice as you have to take expensive cabs to get to anything noteworthy. The only thing convenient is the pebble beach across from the hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great overnight stay for airport"
This was a very good choice for an overnight stay before a morning flight from Nice Airport. We had part of an afternoon and the evening, so we were able to enjoy the promenade a bit. We didn't have the energy, but I had the impression that getting to the old town/ downtown area would be easy by bus along the Promenade. The hotel is fairly close to […] the airport but is right on the promenade and sea, unlike most of the hotels near the airport that are a bit further from the water. We found everything to be great. They replaced a dead light bulb in the room fairly quickly and, since we didn't feel like dining more formally, we had a burger at the bar (before 6:30) and it did the trick quite nicely. They even had some nice tabletop books on the area that we perused while eating. All staff were friendly and helpful with information on getting to the airport, etc. The only downside I can think for travellers is that there didn't seem to be many good restaurant options nearby as near as we could tell walking a few blocks to the east towards old town. "Nice Hotel, but a little disappointed."
We had a Sea View room, which had an awesome view. However, I'm not used to a road going between me and the water. Also, there was an extra charge for parking of $20+ per night, plus they charge $15 bucks a day for a chaise lounge at the roof top pool, and/or their "private beach". The beach is pretty, but there are HUGE rocks and hurt your feet. Don't […] forget the water shoes if you choose to go swimming. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Hotel and Service but note some additional fees"
We stayed at the Radisson for 4 days after staying at the Boscolo Exedra for four days as well. The Radisson is nice because it is right on the Promenade hoever, it is not in the Center of town. The hotel, however, provides a very convenient shuttle to and from the centre of town which was great, quick and at no cost to us. I was not happy that they […] charged 9 Euro per chair, towel etc. to lay by the pool and the drinks are very expensive. The Pina Colada was 18 Euro which is $25 american dollars (at the time) - quite a rip off. The beach is across the street and again you end up paying the equivalent of $27 American Dollars per chair. They don't have a long stretch of the beach so if you are not there early, you end up sitting in one of the bck rows and don't even have a view of the beach itself but of the head of the person in front of you. The Hotel itself is very nce, rooms are nice, very clean, the service was great from everyone except by the pool one server charged us for chair service altho we did not use it or sign for it - so be careful with that. One more thing - altho we requested a double/king bed, what they give you is really two small beds attached so there is a split down the middle - not a big deal to me but it may be to others. All in all, very satisfied, everyone spoke english and was very helpful. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Worked out great"
Our choice could not be better - the hotel is right on the sea and beach and on the most prominent and fun street in the city - Promenade des Anglais. The beauty of the sea, matched with the street hustle and bustle, at the same time away from the real crowd - makes it really a great choice. The hotel is surrounded by majestic old and some new buildings, […] great neighborhood and not as congested as the city center. The hotel shuttle is very convenient and makes it extremely easy to get back and forth to the city center. The airport is so very close, too, and some local restaurants are just around the corner. The view from rooms and terrace is stunning, the hotel location works great to move quickly between sea and pool. The hotel people are extremely helpful. The design is contemporary and trendy, we will look for other Blu Radissons around the world to stay there. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Radisson Blu - Nice"
This was a very nice hotel with lovely views of the Mediterranean. Reasonably close to old Nice. The best thing was the knowledgeable and helpful concierge who really went to the trouble to understand what we wanted to do / see and made very good recommendations. Parking a bit pricy at 25 euros/night, but this is Cote D'Azur in high season. If I did […] not stay here again, it would only be to experience other hotels in different parts of Cote D'Azur. But for the first time visitor (like me), it's definitely a good choice from which to explore. Located on Promenade des Anglais, this hotel is close to both the airport and the old city, making it quite convenient. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Radisson Blu-Beautiful view but eat somewhere else"
My husband and I were on a business trip in France and decided to add a long weekend in Nice so I booked this hotel because the info from Hotels.com made it look great. I also trusted Radisson as a hotel chain that I am familiar with in the U.S.A. What a pleasant surprise! I requested a deluxe seaview room and I was not disappointed. The view was spectacular. […] The room was very modern and very clean. The private beach was awesome. On the down side, the Promenade de Anglais is a very busy, noisy street. While I would have loved to sleep with the windows open, we could not because it was too noisy. The restaurant was also a disappointment as we had driven all day long and arrived at 7:30 pm hungry. We went to the rooftop restaurant and had only 3 choices of entree, none of which interested me (kangaroo meat?). I would recommend the hotel, spend time at the private beach and eat somewhere else. "Should have been better"
The Radisson brand internationally I think is usually quite good but this hotel is not up to those standards. Physically, the hotel is tired and needs updating. The lobby area is very much of a business hotel feel. The rooms are nothing special and can be noisy. The daytime concierge was not helpful and a little rude. The night manager at the restaurant […] was fantastic though and had a great can do attitude. But, while the people at the restaurant were friendly and helpful, the breakfast at 20 euros is way, way overpriced. "Fine experience"
Dinner was overpriced, but otherwise this was an excellent hotel in every respect. The fact that it was a distance from Old Nice and the busy downtown was not a disadvantage as far as we were concerned, as it was not so crowded on the streets. "Good hotel but a little far our of town.."
The hotel itself was very clean and staff very friendly and efficient, however, the major problem is that it is miles from the centre of Nice and although there's a shuttle bus the last one is at 11.30pm. Should you be unable to get a taxi, as we were one night, it's a long way to walk, approximately 3-4 kms, in an area which becomes a little more secluded […] the further out of town you get and you have to pass various 'ladies of the night' and their clients!! "Lovely hotel-Great stay-Sadly bad customer service"
Nice hotel if you are not willing to pay to stay in the 5* hotels and you dont mind paying a considerable amount more than you need to for extras at a 4* hotel. We were lucky to visit during a non-peak period, at least the sunbeds on the roof top terrace pool were free (usually 18euro a day), but the private beach sun beds were still 18 euros a day. […] A bit disappointing if you are a sun-lover. Customer service of the staff really let the hotel down, it was in particular one member who was extremely rude on several occasions, they seem to have not training everyone in the act of being helpful. We were told there were no night-time snacks, and no help was given to supply us with anything. But as I said this was one member of staff in particular so i dont want to be too harsh. Otherwise the stay was great, even though it is a 40min walk to the Old Town they provide a free shuttle. But then again 40 min walk along the beach isnt the worse thing in the world, so to get away from the buzz, this location is great. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Definitely close to all must see sights."
If you want to stay in this hotel ...stay for the view because that is what you are paying for. But apart from that...the service is good in the hotel. Monaco is only 30 minutes from this location and if you are a driver in foreign countries and who enjoys to do so...then I encourage you to do that. Otherwise they have trips from the hotel that you […] can arrange to take you to Nice old and new town, Monaco, Cannes and the other French Rivieras...all around 50 to 65 euros per person or more depending on where you want to go and most of them are half day trips. Definitely take in the sights from the hotels rooftop as that is breathtaking by day and by night. Apart from that... "Radisson Blu, Excellent for Couples"
The hotel is in a great location. The rooftop restaurant, bar and pool have a great view. The private beach is well worth the cost of 18 Euro a day for a chair and towel. The service is fabulous and the food as well. One word of caution, though the pool is free of charge the chairs are not and when busy is not possible to just lay on the deck. So spend […] the same amount and swim in the clear blue salt water of the Mediterranean. Take use of the free shuttle into Centre Ville and go to one of the many excellent restaurants. "Top place for a break"
We spent five nights at the Radisson Blu in Nice and could not fault it. The staff were very helpful and efficient. We had no problem using the swimming pool as mentioned in earlier reviews. There is a notice saying that hotel guests are not charged to use the pool or for towels. However, I would imagine in the summer it would get very crowded. The […] hotel is some way from the town and even though they provide a courtesy bus, this finishes quite early so you either need to walk home or use a taxi. There are night buses but we never used these. Taxis are really expensive, we only used one and were charged 32 Euros for a trip no more than six miles; we were happy to pay this as we were round the other side of the harbour and it was late but you wouldn't want to do this too often. "over priced hotel"
Ideal business hotel but not so good when it comes to a family short break; the prices on the menu were over the top. Limited lunch menu, very little in way of salad, snacks or pasta etc and being vegetarian there was a limited range on the menu. I am sure they would provide whatever was requested, however prices were prohibitively steep. Don't bother […] having a dip in the sea. The beach, all pebble, shelves rapidly and is quite unsafe for small children and water not that clean. "Consider all the reviews carefully. Many pros, a few cons. Not a cheap deal."
Some of the other reviews put us off a bit. The rooftop pool is free to use. Take your own beach towel to avoid the ridiculous 18 Euro daily charge for sunlounger and towel. The hotel should scrap this charge but resolutely refuse to apply common sense, to attract more income from drinks etc. The pool feels colder than the sea (Mid July), and far less […] fun, so you won't want to hang around much. The "private" beach is also free, but you will need to pay the same (18 Euros) for a sunlounger and parasol. To be honest, it makes the hotel look a bit stupid as this is a far less busy end of the Nice beach. You only have to walk a few yards to a much less crowded section of "public" beach. A beach mat and parasol can be BOUGHT (from a useful shop if you walk west down the Avenue Californie) for less than a day's hire Don't bother eating in the hotel, the prices are embarrassing. 2 local boulangeries also west on Avenue California - for breakfast (if not included in your stay), bread and patisseries to die for. The seaward facing rooms are the best, each with balcony, but you will pay a lot more. Double glazing extremely effective against the seemingly constant and deafening traffic. A good spread at breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff (some incredibly rude guests!). Beds comfortable enough to want to sleep late! Courtesy buses to town (40 mins walk). Rather prone to changes without informing anyone. "It had to leave early because it was full. The next is in an hour". Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Horrible serves ruined an otherwise decent hotel"
The hotel’s service, particularly the bar staff at the pool, was horrible. By far the worst my wife and I have ever experienced in our lives. The only thing that saved the hotel from getting a “1” for service in my review was that they refunded the lunch we had at the rooftop pool after making repeated complains and outright refusing to pay it. Sat […] down at rooftop bar on first day and were forced to wait 45 minutes before being offered so much as a water despite the extreme heat. Nobody at the hotel apologized or wanted to take any responsibility when we complained. Be prepared to pay 15 euro per person if you want a chair at the pool. I realize you pay for a chair at the beach, but why not just raise the prices by 15 euro per night instead of gouging for this? Hotel is close to the airport which is a plus, but is a half hour walk each way into town, with really no restaurant option in between. If it wasn’t for the service, I might recommend this hotel if you don’t care about being close to town, but as a middle of the road hotel at best it can’t overcome the extremely poor service and attitude.
