This industrial city and port is the gateway to North Africa – three hours by ferry to Morocco. Tarifa, one of the world’s windsurfing capitals, lies 17 kilometres south. "Fez Riad"
I can't say whether or not I would recommend this hotel, as I arrived to find that I had no booking - apparently someone was ill, and had to stay an extra day. What was upsetting to me was that I was not dealt with directly on this issue - the hotel attendant took my brother in law aside and showed him a room that could accommodate an extra person - […] and then it was explained to me by my brother in law that I was given a choice to stay in the room with my sister and brother in law,or go to another riad (and I don't know where that was or what quality it was). I have a different last name than my sister and brother in law and booked from a separate city - why the hotel attendant assumed that staying together was an option is beyond me. I felt insulted as a single female, but accommodated the situation by sharing a room. I would not recommend the riad for this reason, but otherwise the staff was helful and nice. Other points to note about the riad is that it is in a good location, but the towels are limited and too worn and we had to use our own toilet paper at the end. Not enough supplies.
