In northern Madrid, Chamartín train station is the second-largest after Atocha. This is mainly a business district although the residential area south of it contains plush low-rise apartment blocks and houses. At the circular Plaza de Castilla, next to the bus station, loom the two iconic black leaning towers called the Puerta de Europa.

Hotel was wonderful...it even has heated floors in the bathroom, which I'd never seen before! So, it's definitely 5-star. "Keep away from Downtown!"
I love this hotel for bussiness trips. It is quite new and nearby (20 minutes) from Barajas Airport. I ussually stay at downtown but this time I wanted stay away of the noisy downtown. I stayed in this hotel 3 times. I think this will be my hotel-of-choice in Madrid for any future trip ! First of all the hotel is located in a huge tower ! So you are guaranteed an amazing view ! I think it is brand new because everything there sparkles ! the rooms are big compared to the European standards! the amenities in the bathroom are amazing […] ! the room service is prompt ! the frontdesk are friendly and go out of their way to help you. the only drawback is the location which is a bit far from the center of the city, but who cares ! the metro is right there and I always take taxis which costs something like 5-7 EUROs .. if you are concerned about the Airport, this hotel is closer to it and you are not going to worry about the traffic ! The Eurostars Madrid Tower has easy access to the metro, and fast food resturants are within walking distrance. The food howerver is absolutely exceptional at the Eurostar. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with heated barthroom marble floors, with full tub, and multi-faucet shower. The view of the city from your hotel room is simply breath-taking. Saying that the tubes were alot cleaner then the stations in london. One thing to remember is that when on the metro just make sure that you keep your belongings very close to you as there are thieives in suits. so be aware.
