The Hotel has a nice restaurant, located on the ground floor, quiet and very bright. NH Barajas offers a magnificent breakfast buffet every day of the year, from Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 11:00 and on weekends and holidays from 7:30 to 11:30. NH Barajas Restaurant, open from Monday to Friday for lunch and dinner, from 13:30 to 16:00 and from 20:00 to 23:00, offering a very appetizing and economical menu of Mediterranean cuisine. In addition, we offer a wide variety of menus for both family events and for meetings and Business Lunch or Dinners, and coffee breaks or special services, being open to any suggestions you may request. The hotel bar is the perfect place to enjoy the end of a day's work, open Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 16:00 and 19:00 to 23:00.
Recreation
Only 5 minutes walking from the Hotel, you will find the Metro station "El Capricho", which will connect you directly to the center of Madrid Gran Via, an important leisure and shopping area of Madrid. In the center you can enjoy a thousand of shops, theaters, cinemas and restaurants. Near the hotel is also located "Plenilunio" mall, where you can find a wide variety of fun and entertainment and may make several purchases on clothing and accessories. Very near the hotel you can visit the Capricho Park, one of the most beautiful parks of Madrid built in the XIX century. And that is an example of wilderness and emblematic. You can also visit the beautiful World Heritage city, Alcalá de Henares, just 27 km birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes, where in addition, you can visit the University Cisneriana.

Out east, the magnificent new Terminal 4 at Barajas Airport is the largest in the world. All terminals are accessible by metro (pink line 8), shuttle bus, taxi or the 200 or 204 buses from Avenida de América. IFEMA, also known as Feria de Madrid, is a large modern exhibition space for trade shows, with several hotels and restaurants opposite.

"Always reserve your trip to the airport"
In general people at the front desk were in a very bad mood. But besides their permanent angryness something that really anoyed me was that we were not advised to reserve the transportation to the airport by the staff. That meant having to pay taxi to the airport because the next bus was only available for an hour and twenty minutes later. "Standard European budget hotel"
This hotel is what I expected based on other reviews/ratings. It is a standard budget hotel - clean with minimal amenities. We were on a 12 hour layover in Madrid, so we were just looking for a place to crash for the night - with full intention of getting into the city for a night of fun. The staff was helpful - though if you get back to the hotel […] late at night, they put big iron gates on the doors so you have to get their attention to get let back in. It is very close to the Metro, and we felt very comfortable walking to it. The cab ride back from the city was about 20 Euro, and the shuttle to the airport in the morning was perfect.
