"Won't stay here again"
Booked it for the free shuttle. When I landed, I called the lobby to arrange pickup, and they said they don't do the free shuttle anymore. So I rented a car, and checked in, right about the time the shuttle pulled up. ??? Could have been a language barrier, either way, i was frustrated. Then I got to my room, and my closet at home is bigger....no seriously. […] the bed takes up so much space, you can't walk on the side of the bed without turning sideways, and it's a double bed, not a queen. Lastly, the wifi is only so so. "Inferior Best Western Hotel, Expected better"
I selected this hotel as it was close to airport and we had a 7pm flight. It cost E25 for taxi from Atocha area to this hotel or airport. We ordered a taxi from hotel as shuttle does not start until 6am, too late for our flight. The taxi from hotel to airport cost E20. Taxi from Atocha to airport is about 25 minutes. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. There was one desk clerk that did not know the area at all and could not even direct us to a resteraunt nearby. The room was clean but very very small. Tip: Make sure you know that it is called Villa de Barajas and not just Best Western. The cab driver didn't know Best Western. Perfectly acceptable hotel for an airport overnight. "Hotel Villa Barajas, Madrid"
The room was cramped and the bed was a lot to desire (not comfortable). The bathtub was high and not easy to get in or out. Breakfast (scrambled eggs) were ice cold. Facilities to make coffee/tea in room would be much more convienent then to have to come downstairs. The lift was the smallest I've ever seen. "Fint hotel, hvis du blot skal til lufthavnen"
Hvis man blot har brug for en overnatning inden man skal til lufthavnen er dette et udmærket hotel til formålet. Man kan også tage metroen til byen da der er en metrostation nogle hundrede meter derfra, men det tager lidt tid og et par skift at komme ind til centrum. Tulimme Madridiin illalla. Hotellin hintaan sisältyi ja meille aiemmin hotelliin soittaessani luvattiin ilmainen kuljetus kentältä hotelliin. Kun soitin kentältä hotelliin, sanottiin, että kuljetus on vain klo 21 saakka, koska on uuden vuoden aatto. Soittaessani klo oli vähän vaille 21. Jouduimme siis menemään metrolla ja sitten raahaamaan matkatavaramme […] hotelliin. Hotellin tiedoissa luvattiin, että siellä on saatavana ruokaa ja juomia koko vuorokauden.
