"OK quiet base hotel"
OK hotel as a base as we did not spend much time in it, but it is not in Fuengirola, but in quiet area of Torreblanca (next to Torreblanca station) Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful with special dietary needs. Breakfast was pre-prepared, but enough choice of breads and a few fruits/cereals and enough hot food selection. Spanish/old style rooms, […] good size, view from quite a large balcony of mountains on one side and sea on other (in between buildings). 5 minute walk to nice stretch of seaside with friendly cafe on the corner directly down below, but not much else in the immediate area. However, could take bus or train to Fuengirola (2-10 mins away)- each comes every 20 mins though. Entertainment programme for older people mainly- bingo/live music. Flamenco show ok. Receptionist not most helpful in giving recommendations. Better to go Ronda by train to Fuengiorla and bus from coach station round the corner in terms of timing (think around 11.30am, and cost is slightly cheaper than train). If you just want to relax, mainly on beach, with a few daytrips, this hotel would be a suitable basic base, and has lovely views around the hotel. However, for younger people, or people who want to do more local sightseeing/go somewhere a bit more lively, go for walks along marina etc I would recommend Benalmadena or Fuengirola. "Good place to vegetate in sun"
The hotel is 4 minutes walk from the beach and you can walk there in your swimwear. Decent choice for breakfast for vegetarians and others I guess. Sizeable rooms and balconies. Two swimming pools with lots of sunbeds to soak sun in. The interior is dated in places but for what it offers -- a base for a sun-drenched pleasantly uneventful stay -- I could […] not care less. My only gripe was with the pool lifeguard who wanted to get home early and so locked gates to the pool ares half an hour ahead of the closing time, and if you were there he stared at you like you ruined his youth. "Man får vad man betalar för"
Hotellet liger lite off (ca 3 km från Fuengirola). Hårda sängar. Personalen är trevlig och fixade ett rum på 8:våningen med utsikt över havet utan att tjafsa om pengar etc. Frukosten som ingick i priset var helt ok.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"bon confort mais repas à revoir.........."
L'accueil est excellent et le confort suffisant notemment le petit balcon face à la mer avec table et chaises. Par contre en saison l'environnement doit être bruyant à cause de la route en contre-bas. Vu le temps nous n'avons pas pu profiter des piscines qui sont un plus . Côté repas il faut dire que ce n'est pas excellent...... Il ne faut pas s'attendre […] à de la grande gastronomie!! Evitez les patisseries, préférez les fruits et attention à tout ce qui baigne dans l'huile! Quelques pôelés de légumes et les frites valaient le coup. Le comble ce sont les jus de fruit servis le matin: au pays des oranges il faut se contenter de jus à base de poudre.......... A part ces remarques concernant la nourriture l'hotel est relativement bien situé proche de la plage et des commerces, de la gare et de l'autoroute pour s'évader. Attention aux indications routières!!! sur les autoroutes ça peut aller mais en dehors rien n'est correctement indiqué. Un petit coup de pub pour Benalmadena Pueblo qui vaut le coup d'être vu: très beau village blanc, très fleuri et .... tranquille, sans touristes! ( sauf quand on y est !!)
