This 4 star hotel didn't have a 4 star price. I felt the price was reasonable when booking and a steal once I checked in. I've stayed in many European... hotels and have come to expect very small rooms. This room was comparable to the size of an American hotel room but with a luxurious and spacious bathroom. The view from the top floor pool was amazing. Location was perfect, just a 5 minute walk to all the tourist sites and across the river from great shopping, dining, drinking and dancing locales! Location.
The family-run Becquer Hotel is located on a lively street full of bars and restaurants near the Guadalquivir river in central Seville, Spain. The hotel is 500 meters from the bullring, Fine Arts Museum and 13th-century Gold Tower. Seville's cathedral and famous Giralda tower, Plaza de Espana, old city walls and historic Barrio Santa Cruz district are all within 1.5 kilometers. The hotel is 500 meters from the main bus station and four kilometers from the train station. Seville San Pablo Airport (SVQ) is 15 kilometers away.

Hotel Features.
The Becquer Hotel restaurant, El Pabellon, serves breakfast and Mediterranean and international dishes. Furniture is cane, slate and marble. Local specialties at the tapas café-bar include octopus in olive oil, spinach and white beans. The English Bar offers drinks, and features ironwork gates and antique wood decor.

From the minute we checked in the hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful. Our luggage was lost and they did all that they could to help us with phone calls. within walking distance to just about everything. The rooftop pool was refreshing. There's an unloading/loading spot right in front of the hotel, parking at the hotel or nearby garage if full. They held out luggage when for a few hours after we checked out so we could see a few more sights. Rooms were clean, staff polite.

Only 10 minutes to the Cathedral and El Alcazar, less than 5 minutes to great shopping, around the corner from tapas bars and restaurants, 2 blocks from the Riverwalk, it was a fabulous place to be. the hotel was in a great location, no more than 5 mins from anything, only draw back was a) the heat in july, way too hot and b) the swimming pool is quite small, the hotel itself was great and the cafe did great food at great prices, european breakfast and very helpful staff, can say enought about location, 5 mins to everything.
