We were very pleased with this hotel. Family stayed at Hotel Colon and we decided to stay at a less expensive but nice place. They ended up with problems and we had a fantastic stay. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Only thing was we did have to walk a couple blocks when dropped off by the taxi because he said he couldn't drive us in front of the hotel. "Mixed feelings, mostly negative"
The one and only good thing about this hotel is that it is near to placa catalunya where many of the shops are. However, despite the good location, it is not easy to find this place. It is inaccessible to taxis and the street name "duc de la Victoria" cannot be found, neither does any locals we asked know about this place or this hotel. Rooms are clean […] but old. I am a heavy sleeper, yet, was kept awake by the noise from neighboring rooms and at 6 am, noise from what sounds like persistent hammering and drilling. A check with the reception was met by a snide remark "must be people checking out, you mean you don't allow others to check out the hotel". I think anyone would be smart enough to know how to differentiate between checking out noise and persistent pounding sounds. Detta hotell har perfekt läge. Nära från flygbussen, Ramblan och gamla stan, allt ligger rund knuten. Personalen var mycket trevlig. Frukostbuffén var jättebra, man kunde beställa varmt som omelette, stekta och kokta ägg, bacon, korv och äggröra. För övrigt fanns allt man kan önska sig. Erwähnen möchten wir die sehr gute Beratung an der Reception von Paola Pont, die nicht nur gut in Englisch und Französisch ansprechbar war, sondern auch kompetent und einfühlsam unseren Wunsch nach guten Restaurants erfüllte, wo wir unsere Geburtsessen etwas abseits vom Touristenrummel abhalten konnten. This hotel is only a couple of minutes of walking away from Rambla, so it's located very central with loads of shopping possibilities in every direction. We were surprised to find that despite its central location, the hotel was always calm and quiet. We were happy with the size of our twin room and the AC was great - we definitelt slept well! "Hotell rett ved Las Ramblas"
Et perfekt beliggende hotell med god standard på rommene og hyggelig betjening. Veldig godt fornøyd med oppholdet, og spesielt lydisolasjonen, hørte ingenting på kveldstid selv så nærme hovedgata i byen (Las Ramblas). Rett over gata ligger en kiosk som har åpent nesten hele døgner, og alt av fasiliteter finnes innen kort avstand. Må forøvrig advare […] om at det finnes veldig mye dårlig tapas-restauranter i området, etter et ukesopphold i Barcelona med dårlige erfaringer med lavkvalitets-tapas og dårlig service ble opplevelsen vesentlig bedre når vi dro ut av byen til Sitges. The hotel is very centrally located. A few minutes walk from the Rambla and Placa Catalunya. The water and harbour is reachable within 15-20 minutes walk either down the Rambla or old town.
