Would have been nice to know that the lobby and other facilities were in the midst of a renovation when we booked. Construction materials and plastic sheeting were everywhere, which doesn't make for a very welcoming arrival experience. I understand that facilities need to be upgraded, but at least be honest and tell guests before they book so they can […] decide if its something they want to deal with. I understand now why the room rate I got was relatively low for the city, as in addition to the construction, the rooms are not kept very clean and the wifi did not work at all on the floor we were on. The rooms attempt to be very modern, but it feels outdated and old once you notice all the stains and scuff marks that have never been cleaned off the walls. Read more

Felt safe and at home. Staff soon became like family. I was fortunate enough to have been at the hotel two different times during my vacation. The only things I would suggest is to include breakfast in the room rate and have some English language newspapers by the rooftop bar only with the Spanish newspapers.

Cram Hotel was perfect for our needs. The rooms are small but the bed was large and extremely comfortable. We had a small verandah which was wonderful. The service at the front desk was very good. They are friendly and helpful and will let you borrow their laptop whenever you need it. We loved our stay at the Hotel Cram. We had read some reviews of the hotel before booking and we felt it surpassed the reviews. The staff was very nice, helpful and kind. The room was comfortable and quiet. We had a window with a tiny balcony overlooking the street. It was too noisy to leave open, but fun to watch the city life. The front desk people tried to help and someone reset the router (or something) and that took care of the problem. I found this place from my Time Out: Barcelona guidebook and I generally liked this placed. It's modern, clean, stylish, and centrally located near several metro lines. Unfortunately, the one large issue I had with the hotel is that my room, #212 (and presumably #312, #412 etc.) sits in the corner in a way that puts the adjacent room's outer door (#211) […] within inches of mine. The result is that every time guests in the adjacent room opened or closed their door, it sounded exactly like someone was opening and closing my room door. This was mildly alarming and fairly disruptive to my sleep. This is a great hotel but for the money I paid (Hotels.com won't let me post w/specific rate), there really should not be any rooms like this. Mind you, I didn't complain and see if there was another room to transfer into, but I just write to advise prospective guests to avoid those rooms. Read more

Design oriented hotel. Very nice and accommodating staff. Bathroom was a circular design. Didn't eat at the restaurant but it has been awarded a Michelin star. Comfortable room. More hip than elegant. Had a good stay here and would stay here again. Centrally located and easy to walk to all of the sights if you are an active walking type.

I was not happy with my trip to the Cram Hotel in Barcelona!! The stay at the hotel started off well and the room was quite nice but ended badly when a pipe broke in the hotel leaving us without water and the ability to shower or flush the toilets. The staff said it would be fixed however when we came back in the evening water was running but only cold […] water to take a shower. The next morning all the water was off again and we were unable to shower before leaving for a very long trip back to London and onto the United States. We stayed at the Cram Hotel for 2 nights. It's located in the Eixample neighborhood. Very nice location and safe. It's 4 blocks away from our of Gaudi's master pieces, Casa Batllo. The person who assisted with our check in was very friendly and gave us tips how to get around. Wi-Fii is free. The rooms are very modern; the bathrooms are kind of unique […] but not practical. The windows have sound proof glass which was awesome for a good sleep and they also had double curtains. They offered breakfast but the selection was really basic and not worth to pay for it. The CRAM hotel feels more upscale than the price would indicate. The rooms are very modern and clean, but rather small. I thought it was weird that the only blankets provided were the too heavy comforter on the bed and the blanket in the closet, both of which I wondered how they washed after each guest. The Hotel was in easy walking disctance of the Metro, staff were friendly and the room was clean. I had a room with a terrace, however this was quite overlooked by surrounding houses. Breakfast buffet was decent, however during my stay they were treating the floors which meant you were stuck inside and couldn't get onto the roof terrace.

Incredibly comfortable room - amazing bed, lovely rain shower, refreshing air con, plenty of space, and a small balcony. Stay at this hotel only if you prefer design over comfort and service. I've chosen this hotel because of the previous reviews and location. But the location was the only satisfying thing. When we arrived we saw a nicely designed hotel, but the longer we stayed, the more angry I became. Good: - Design. Almost all tourist places are reachable by walking. Bad: - Bathroom. I was surprised to find out that the bath tube, which is mentioned on hotel's site, exists only on some rooms. My room had only shower, which doesn't make it 4 stars hotel. - Internet. By all standards it is NOT high speed WiFi. The signal was unstable and some times didn't work at all. I complained at least several times and the and the answer varied from "we will check, in can't be possible" to "yes, we know there is a problem, but technician will be here only tomorrow morning" - Working area. They have a nicely designed working area with the table you open in the cabinet , but ... no one thought about chair. You could only sit on the bed to work with your laptop, which is very uneasy. - Tourist amenities. It's very strange, but they don't have any tourist information available. - Service. Practically non existent. Starting from that every time I tried to complain about something, I didn't get any proper answer and ending with the fact, that twice during my conversation with the front desk, manager interrupted it in order to reply his phone, making me wait. Also, they had a pipe leak and switched off the water supply for the entire hotel every day of our 4 days stay. We didn't receive any apologies for it as well as every time I asked when they solve the problem, no one could provide an answer. The hotel was exactly what we expected with the most comfortable bed we've ever had in Spain.(visit family a lot). The only complaints - the lack of privacy in the bathroom (- easily remedied with an appropriately hung bathrobe!!) and half empty toiletries not replaced. Neither of which would stop us going back.

The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful, who looked after our bags while we waited to get into our room as we arrived before 10a.m. We were able to use the internet while we waited. The room was reasonably size with very modern lighting switches. It was important to try out […] all the switches before dark, because they were unusual. However, once you got used to them, they were easy and convenient to use. Free wireless internet was provided, but no tea or coffee making facilities, which we thought was very important for travellers who liked to relax in the room. It was centrally located and not too far to walk to La Rambla, Catalunya, main shopping areas and even the waterfront where most of the good seafood restaurants were located.
