This hotel was suprisingly good. The double-pane windows had blinds inside so the room was quite & dark during the middle of the day. The room was newly renovated. The bathroom was huge. you can't beat the location....you can take a train from the airport right to the door of the hotel. Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The good: great location, great personnel, great looking rooms, nice views, great breakfast, huge Lcd/plasma tv in the room. "Superior with terrace"
Booked the superior room with terrace view. The room itself is fairly good sized, a bit too big bathroom and not that updated. The room was clean but it definitely needs refurbishment, that and the bathroom too. The most positive thing was the terrace. Bigger than the room size and sunshine through late hours. Could have been cleaned too as we found […] cigarettes and dirt on the terrace. Not a good impression. The staff were friendly. The breakfast at Ten's Restaurant was amazing. That was a big plus too! Buffé for 9 euro per person per meal. A big negative thing was that the water stopped working completely for a couple of hours (6-8h) mid day. No water when flushing the toilets, no water when showering or washing hands. This apparently happend before as the staff told us they were out of water (?) and was filling it up. So this was a major problem for all guests for a couple of hours. Seems like there should be running waters in a 3 star hotel in Barcelona. I would probably consider booking a different hotel next time. Only reason I'd book this hotel was if I got the same room with terrace for a really cheap deal. Hotellet hade mycket bra läge i sydöstra hörnet av gamla staden (Ciutat Vella). Vi bodde högst upp och hade utsikt över hustak och kyrktorn i gamla staden. Man kunde också se havet och hamnen. Park Hotel Barcelona ligger mycket bra till för allt. Gångavstånd till hamnen med shoppingcentret Maremagnum, till den kända gatan La Rambla och 50 meter från en stor tågstation. Tåg enkelresa till flygplatsen kostade 3,6 euro per person. Taxi kostade 40 euro för två. Området runt hotellet har de bästa restaurangerna till förvånansvärt bra priser. Tämä ongelma kuitenkin taitaa toistua useimmissa Barcelonan hotelleissa. Olimme pyytäneet huoneen ylimmistä kerroksista, ja saimmekin huoneen kuudennesta kerroksesta. We stayed for tree nights in a superior room. The room had a big balcony, comfortable beds and a nice big bathroom. It had a safe, minibar and good aircon.
