The Eixample suburb was created 1860–1920 and consequently holds the city’s finest Modernist buildings. The Passeig de Gràcia is the main artery, its wide pavements lined with designer shops and chic cafes. It is also home to Gaudí’s two fairy-tale masterpieces, Casa Batlló and La Pedrera, plus many other architectural gems. The undoubted star of the Eixample is La Sagrada Familia, Gaudí’s fabulous unfinished emblematic church.

"Technology Challenged"
Stayed here on business and wi-fi was a key requirement. If you want wi-fi here, it is hit and miss. I could not get wi-fi in the room. As well, my telephone couldn't dial international (even though they said it could) and the TV didn't work. Room and location were great though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The staff at the hotel are lovely but the rooms are very small. My door was hard to open and I had to keep getting assistance from reception and only when I insisted they changed the lock because it was known as a problem room. Another room for three meant that the three adults slept shoulder to shoulder and I had no toilet roll relacement. The main […] problem for me was I was in Barcelona on business and there was NO internet in the rooms for the whole time we were there which was very inconvenient and one of the two computers available never worked. Zimmer war modern eingerichtet und neuwertig eingerichtet. Zu bemängeln ist aber die "spartanische" Ausstattung im Bad: kein Mülleimer vorhanden, pro Person nur ein Bade- und ein Handtuch, keine Kleenex-Tücher. Wasserdruck der Dusche viel zu niedrig und die Badearmatur undicht, so dass Wasser unentwegt lief. Dieses wurde während des Aufenthaltes auch […] nicht behoben. Der Hotelservice war leider nicht dem 4 Sterne Standard entsprechend. Bei der Ankunft mit dem Taxi musste man sich selbst einen trolley in der Empfangshalle besorgen (die Rezeption war komplett besetzt), selbst die Koffer verstauen und zum Zimmer bringen. Bei einem Kundentermin in der Lounge mit Bar, musste man mehrmals reklamieren, dass man Getränke bestellen möchte. Die verantwortliche Person der Bar glänzte durch permanente Abwesenheit . Es dauerte ca. 20 Minuten bis diese die Bestellung aufnahm. Bei einer späteren Nachbestellung ging das Spiel von Neuem los, nach über einer halben Stunde erfolglosen Reklamierens, holte meine Assistentin Getränke von dem benachbarten Cafés auf der Strasse. Sehr peinlich bei einem Kundentermin... Das Hotel ist für Geschäftstermine völlig ungeignet und wohl auch eher auf Touristen ausgelegt. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
