"Jaded hotel"
This hotel is not four star. Everything in the hotel was out of order, or not in use. We had travelled for 3 hours on the night we arrived and really just wanted to have a meal and a relaxing hour or so before bed. We were told the restaurant was open, and after waiting an hour and a half for it to open were then told that the chef would not be cooking […] tonight!!! By that time it was dark and we were in an unfamiliar area (quite remote) and had to venture out to look for a place to eat. It was pouring with rain which granted did not help. We speak Spanish, so were at least able to watch some TV, but UK TV is not in the rooms, and as it caters for British tourists this could be a problem. There was not even tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The bathroom was mouldy and in general the place although probably quite grand in its time was in need of serious up dating, and maintenance. The hotel is set in a beautiful area in the mountains, but with out a car you would be stuck. "An oasis of peace"
a lovely relaxing hotel. It's not a 4 star by UK standards and is let down a bit by the lack of enough staff in the restaurant. I know its a self service buffet but your plates should be cleared between courses in a 4 star. On a few nights there was only 1 girl on duty. the poor thing did her best but it was just too much for 1 person. You also burn […] off the calories just getting your food. All the plates, bowls, cutlery etc are in different areas of the restaurant so you do plenty of walking. Reception will provide you with a timetable for the Mijas - Fuengirola bus but, bizarrely, the times shown are for when the bus sets off rather than when it picks up at the hotel so you need to remember how long it takes to get there! All that said, the room was spotless and really comfortable (although tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice). The pool area is lovely and, if you are looking for a relaxing holiday, i wouldn't even think of going anywhere else. If you want bars, clubs, restaurants etc on your doorstep, go elsewhere. "Good Spanish Hospitality"
As you will see from our ratings above we were very satisfied with this hotel. The breakfast was excellent - a full English breakfast with bacon, sausages, eggs (fried or srambled), baked beans - and a good range of cereals and fruit. The view from the terrace was stunning, the swimming pool was inviting so much so that I actually went in and there […] was the added bonus of topless women. "Hienot maisemat"
Hyvä kotipesä, josta oli helppoa lähteä autolla katsastelemaan Fuengirolan asuntomarkkinoita. Loistava aamiaisbuffee kuului huoneen hintaan. Aamiaisterassilta kauniit näkymät aina Välimerelle saakka. Miellyttävä taustamusiikki ja jatkuva henkilökunnan huolenpito. Aulassa, baarissa ja kirjastossa toimi WiFi, joskus jopa huoneessakin. Fugen keskustaan […] ajaa 10-15 minuutissa, Mijasin kylään ylempänä vuoren rinteellä oli 5 min. ajomatka. Hacienda muistutti tyyliltään Haikon kartanoa, mutta ajan hammas on jättänyt hieman jälkiänsä, vaikka kunnossapitoa ei voi moittia. Kuntosali, uima-allas, sauna ja tenniskenttä antavat ajanvietettä, jos haluaa viihtyä hotellilla. Solarium -kyltti pihalla viittasi suojaisaan nurmikkotasanteeseen päivänvarjoineen.
