"craftsmanship quality details and warm staff"
We arrived late to this small little hotel to find a warm welcome. Wonderful sense of place, craftsmanship quality details throughout. Though we are fit, there was a steep climb, three levels to our room — thus the combination of flight fatigue and altitude difference we were challenged. Breakfast was okay. "Really nice hotel in quiet area"
I stayed at Vieja Cuba Hotel for 3 nights and enjoyed this stay in a nice relaxing environment. Very convenient that that have a computer available as well that you can use on the 1st floor. The rooms are nice and spacious and I also had a nice balcony. The hot water take a while to apear but will get there in the end so just be patient. The restaurant […] in connection with the hotel is only open Tuesday - Saturday but there are a lot of other nice places to eat in the area. I would highly recommend Crepes and Waffles for lunch and ice creams, Adam´s Ribs for a good steak, La Bodeguita de Cuba for lovely atmosfair and food especially on Thursdays where there is live music and Rincón La Ronda for a real Ecuadorian experience where you can also tast guinea pig (guy) - all these places are vary close to the hotel. "Very nice and charming hotel"
Ich habe insgesamt 7 Naechte im Vieja Cuba uebernachtet und war sehr zufrieden. Es liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend und trotzdem nur 5minuten von Mariscal (Ausgangviertel) entfernt. Das Personal war hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Hotel wird abends und nachts bewacht. Man fuehlt sich daher auch durch den speziellen familiaeren Stil des Hotels geborgen […] und sicher. "Worth the money!"
Rooms are small but super clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Only drawbacks were the restaurant was closed one night and the hotel-owned restaurant we got referred to down the street (Bodeguita de Cuba) was awful! Staff also sent us to the wrong bus station to leave town--frustrating! Otherwise we were very happy with the impeccable cleanliness […] and comfort of the hotel. Would definitely stay there again.
