The Sindbad is a five-star hotel with 145 rooms & 9 suites entirely refurbished and decorated in a contemporary style with an oriental touch. Rooms are spacious (30 sqm on average) and are all equipped with free wifi, air conditioning, heating, direct telephone line, satellite TV with plasma screen, mini bar, free of charge safe box, a sitting corner and a private balcony or terrace.Bathrooms are private and are equipped with hairdryer, bathrobes, anti-slip mats with both shower cabin & bathtub.

The Sindbad has a lovely spa centre offering a wide variety of spa treatments, and three swimming pools, one of them is an indoor pool heated in winter and the other is an Infinity pool with a magnificent panoramic view over the mediterranean sea.For lunch and dinner, The Sindbad guests are presented with four choices: Les Voiliers à la carte restaurant with its immense white and yellow veranda overlooking the sea and serving a delicious variety of dishes (open daytime).Main restaurant Shehrazade offering a rich breakfast buffet and dinners served by professional waiters (4 nights a week dinner is served à la carte and 3 nights a week as a buffet).A la carte restaurant Chiraz with international and local specialties. Chiraz offers wonderful dinners by the swimming pool in a fabulous candle light setting. A la carte restaurant Manora with Thai specialties.
After dinner, guests can enjoy a drink at the special golf pub, Pub 19 with a touch of Scottish colours or at the Djinn Bar with live entertainment.

I stayed at the Sindbad Hotel for 2 nights in May 2010. Pros: 1. Clean and comfortable room with a big bath room (separate shower, bath tub, and toilet). 2. Good breakfast 3. Nice beach and pool 4. "Nice hotel, shame about the area"
I stayed in the Sindbad in October/November for a week with a friend. The staff were very welcoming, even when our flight was delayed. While the hotel was overall very clean I was disappointed to get a room which has a large area of damp from floor to ceiling by the door opening onto our seating area. By the end of the week there was quite a bit of […] mould growing on it and everything in the room seemed a bit damp. The room however was very comfortable and otherwise clean. The week we went wasn't very warm and some nights the room was quite cold but the beds had duvets on so it wasn't too bad. Breakfast was fine...large selection of bread, meat, eggs, omelettes, crepes etc. The pools and other areas of the hotel were also well kept. The hotel's beach was very clean but if you walk either side along the beach you will find piles and piles of rubbish and disused hotels which pretty much sums up this part of Hammamet. This isn't the hotels fault but I would say if you don't play golf and the sun isn't shining there isn't much else to do here. Food and drink is much more expensive in the hotel as you'd expect (£10 for bottle of house wine, £6 for cocktail). It would have been nice if there had been some boardgames available for guests when the weather wasn't good. "Reasonable for the price"
My partner and I decided to go down to Hammamet for New years and spent 3 days there, while I was working here in Tunisia. The Sindbad hotel located right on the sea front has great location for the beach. The rooms were comfortable, but with un-carpeted rooms and no offering of slippers made the room very cold to move about. The reception and dining […] area has had a renovation and looks grand, but the room itself can be a bit disappointing. Since most of it is very old, so don't be surprised if one or more equipment doesn't work. They do offer free wireless internet, but the signal strength is very weak unless your near the reception area, so basically be prepared to have no internet in your room. If your thinking of attending the New Years dinner Gala; then let me spare you some money and don't go. The price per person when i was there was 115TND and it does not include any drinks. They have some performers singing french or italian songs and if you don't speak any of those language it just becomes noise. The seating arrangement can be very cramped as they seem to just pile ppl in. It is 6 course meal and the food is reasonable, but for the same cost you could go to a great restaurant and get an abundant amount of food. I had not stayed at the hotel for a few years, but upon my return found it refurnished, with a new infinity pool overlooking the beach. This was beautiful. Everything is near to hand, with the small but clean beach in front of the hotel. It is a pleasant walk along the beach into town (30 minutes). For the latter there are bizzare seating regulations in place - we were constantly directed to sit at the bright rear of the restaurant - instead of the pleasant front, where supposedly 'reserved' (but unmarked) empty tables remained so until the restaurant closed. Waiters pleasant by day became aggressive about this in the evening. It spoiled dinner every time. 'Sea view' rooms are on offer for a supplement. It is the third time I have stayed here in the last 12 months. It is a 5 star hotel in its service as well as its appearance, unlike many hotels that have the look but don't live up to it so far as service goes. "Beautiful, relaxing hotel"
The Sindbad Hotel was beautiful. The room was of a really high standard, they even left fresh flowers on our pillow one day. There were little walkways all around the hotel, with well manicured gardens that are lovely. The resort had 4 restaurants. We tried them all, and were really happy with everything. It was pretty quiet there, maybe it wasn't peak season yet and there wasn't a ton of things to do, but if you're happy lounging by the pool, reading a book and waiters happy to bring over food and drinks, then no problem. They did try the hard sell, but I wouldn't say there was any hassling at all. it was all fun, and there was a great selection of stuff to check out. The only problem with the whole trip was getting a taxi from the hotel back to Tunis airport. The rate the hotel charged was far above what we thought we should pay, compared to the taxi we got on the way there. So we ended up asking a local taxi, who arranged a driver to take us back. But even without going to the other restaurants, the menu is incredible good: 5 choices for appetizer, main course and desert. They try to make one vegetarian of each and the rest has a good variety (for example, the main course might be beef, lamb, chicken, fish and one vegetarian dish). The only thing we did not enjoy was the wine price: it was double the price compared to everywhere else, including other 5-star hotels such as La Kasbah. Hotel Sinbad is a great hotel about an hours drive from Monastir Airport. It's a 5 min cab from the centre of Hammamet and a short walk along the beach from it also. By far the best part of the hotel is the pool bar which overlooks the gulf of Hammamet, here you will be pampered with great service, food, drink and plenty of space to lay back and have a drink or sit under a parasol and relax. Staff here are great and always on hand to help whether it be to prepare a sunbed, create a good cocktail or give some good local info on places to go and see. Hôtel de charme, personnel accueillant, souriant, prenant le temps de répondre aux demandes des clients. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est complet, et pour tous les goûts... Très copieux et délicieux. Le dîner est varié, parfois en buffet, parfois à la carte, mais différent chaque jour. Les boissons ne sont pas incluses dans la demi pension, et un peu […] chère pour le pays. Nous avons été ravis de notre séjour dans cet hôtel, et le recommandons sans hésitation. Le SPA dans l'hôtel, mais indépendant est un peu cher (300€ pour 5 jours/2heures par jour) - Attention quand on vous promet en cadeau de fin de SPA un soin du visage et une manucure de demander un papier... "Pas à la hauteur d'un 5 étoiles"
Relativement déçue au terme d'un séjour d'une semaine. Les plus : Petite structure, jolie architecture aux murs blancs, calme (pas d'animations), proximité immédiate de la ville d'Hammamet, très bon accueil à la réception, WIFI gratuit à la réception ( ne passe pas dans les chambres) Les moins : Accès à la plage par un escalier( 20 marches environ) […] attention pour les personnes à mobilité réduite, ce n'est précisé nulle part! Plage relativement petite, et surtout très prisée par les bourgeois locaux, donc difficile de trouver un transat au calme, en particulier le week-end, bien que l'hotel ne soit pas complet, loin de là...A moins de céder à la coutume très (trop?) répandue du pourboire au plagiste! Aucun transat au bord des 2 piscines extérieures, donc obligation de redescendre à la plage...La plus agréable à débordement est entourée par le restaurant et le bar, donc inaccessible à partir de 18h, l'autre , vieillissante, encaissée au milieu des bâtiments, avec des chaises uniquement. Chambre correcte, très propre, mais mobilier de jardin en plastique, inconfortable sur une terrasse minuscule. Vous aurez droit à des fleurs sur le lit...Uniquement après bakchich! Repas en demi-pension corrects sans plus, entrées inchangées en 1 semaine mais mention spéciale au chef pâtissier pour ses desserts excellents. Serveurs très pressés de débarrasser en fin de service, donnant l'impression qu'il est temps de partir! Au total, cet hôtel ne mérite pas 5 étoiles , 4 tout au plus...
