Rooms have ocean, beach, or partial ocean views. The 610 air-conditioned guestrooms at Riu Bachata All Inclusive include minibars and safes. For a surcharge, guests can use the in-room wireless high-speed Internet access. Televisions are equipped with premium satellite channels. Bathrooms offer shower/tub combinations, hair dryers, and complimentary toiletries. In-room refrigerators and complimentary bottled water are provided. Additional amenities include ceiling fans and windows that open. In addition, amenities available on request include irons/ironing boards, extra towels/bedding, and wake-up calls. Bahía de Maimón - Main restaurant offering buffet style dinning and on-the-spot cooking stations. Theme dinners served twice a week; Breakfast, lunch, theme-dinner buffets.
Maracuya - Grill/Steakhouse restaurant a la cate for dinner. Reservations required. Dress code: No T-shirts.
Napoles - a la carte restaurant with air conditioning.
Macumba - Open-air restaurant at Riu Merengue Hotel. Snacks from late night to after midnight.
Bikini - Large, covered, open-air, plaza-like bar. Open from mid-morning to late night.
Caramba - Open-air bar/lounge open from early evening to late night.
Los Lirios - Swimup bar open mid-morning to early evening.
Pacha - Air-conditioned nightclub located in front of ClubHotel Riu Merengue. Bar open 10 PM - 2 AM (hours subject to change. Minimum age 18. Closed Mondays).

This hotel includes a 3m-diameter (10-foot) children's pool and two 61m (200-foot) arc-shaped pools, one featuring an eight-person jetted section, a shallow area with underwater tile lounges and a fountain, and a swim-up bar. Guests also enjoy access to pools at the Riu Resort's other two hotels. Padded lounge chairs and thatched-roof sunshades flank all pools. Pool umbrellas and sun loungers and beach towels are provided. The resort faces an 800m (one-half mile) Atlantic Ocean beach. Sand extending inland under palm trees includes sports facilities.
Maimón Bay, at the resort's western end, offers a beachfront, water-sport center (located in front of Riu Merengue Hotel) providing kayaks, snorkeling gear, Hobie Cat sailboats, pedal boats, windsurfers, and boogie boards as part of the All-Inclusive plan. Surcharges apply for parasailing, Jet Skiing, banana-boating, sailing lessons, windsurfing lessons, scuba-diving lessons and certification classes, and snorkeling and scuba-diving excursions.
Other All-Inclusive facilities include two tennis courts at this hotel and three at Riu Merengue Hotel next door. The nearest golf course, Campo de Golf, is 14 km (8.75 mi) away.

Excellent Hotel, But When I Arrived the Resort I Wait 2 Hours doing Nothing in the Lobby Because they Dont Have My Reservation and They Dont Finded, They Told That Hotels.com Dont Sended the Information. "Hotel has been down graded"
I stayed at the Riu Bachata just last year and had a wonderful experience, however, this summer I returned and the hotel has made a 360. The hotel staff is completely different and it shows as they are not hospitable. The do their job but do nothing else. The entertainment staff is horrible. They prance around the stage drunk and have no idea of what […] they are doing. During the day they have limited activities. Last year I played volleyball all of the time, however this year, I had to practically beg them to play. It was scheduled for 3pm so I was out of luck if I wanted to do something else at that time. I either played or not. They had double standards for customers. I made a reservation at the steak house. I was told that all men must wear long pants. Once we arrived for dinner, we noticed that "certain" people were wear shorts. the point is that they make exceptions for certain people and not for others. Likewise, they turned me away from the lunchroom because I was slightly wet and then I noticed that they let a bunch of women in wet bikinis enter the same lunchroom just a few minutes later. The food has also changed since last year. They serve a different theme every evening but after a while all of the food starts to taste the same. There is however always at least something you will like. With desert however, stick to the fruit. The cakes are usually stale. As far as room service is concerned, be specific. if you want towels, tell them because room service knocked on my door for my dirty towels at 10 am and didn't give me clean towels. When I needed to take a bath, I didn't have any towels. I had to hunt down the people at the front desk for towels and all I got were excuses. Finally I RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING IN THE CARIBBEAN STREET MARKET THAT THEY HAVE. the hotel will not take responsibility for anything that does wrong. "HORRIBLE DO NOT STAY HERE"
I HAVE BEEN TO BAD HOTELS BEFORE, BUT RIU BACHATA IS BY FAR THE WORST. THEIR FOOD WAS BLAND AND TASTELESS, THE ALCOHOL THEY OFFER IS CHEAP DOMESTIC LIQUOR, DESPITE THE FACT THAT THEY PROMOTE HAVING INTERNATIONAL BRANDS. THE BEACH IS DISGUSTING AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF THEIR STAFF EITHER HAS A NASTY ATTITUDE OR JUST DON'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR PRESENCE. […] THEIR GUEST RELATIONS MANAGER WAS COMPLAINED TO BY ANOTHER VACATIONER AND THIS PERSON HAD THE AUDACITY OF TELLING US THAT THE ONLY REASON SERVICE AND FOOD WERE BAD WAS BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF LOCALS STAYING IN THE RESORT. "excelente Hotel"
excelente nuevamente, nos pintaron un muy mal panorama de Puerto Plata, pero resulto ser todo lo contrario...realmente creo que tienen un excelente hotel y el personal muy dedicado. las comidas buenisimas, realmente buenas y variadas, las piscinas limpias, al igual que las playas....solo una cosa no lleno mis expectativas y fue que vi los entretenimientos […] nocturnos muy flojos, sin nada de dinamismo....basicamente me retire a dormir temprano por que eran muy aburridos. el hotel esta muy bien ubicado y cuenta con una playa que aunque pequena es muy bonita, las habitaciones muy bien arregladas y la servidumbre casi no se hacia sentir en los edificios....eran muy sigilosos para realizar su trabajo....en el resto del complejo el personal se desvivia por atendernos a los huespedes, y por mantener las areas limpias. solo queda decir gracias por las buenos dias que pase con ustedes. Det var ett bra hotell med bra service. Maten var god , men de kunne variert litt på varm retter spesielt til lunsj. Vi hadde bestillt 2 rom og på det ene rommet manglet det tørkepapir på badet , vi måtte spørre etter dette papiret 4 ganger i resepsjonen og beskjeden kom ikke videre til rette personen.
