My husband and I stayed 3 nights in November 2010, and after the first night, tried to extend our stay for another 3 days - it is that great a place.... So much to do and see, and if you're a golfer, you must go, 3 public courses to keep you entertained and challenged. The staff is very discreet but very friendly and accomodating. Our hotel room was ample and beautifully but simply appointed, designer linens and very comfy mattresses and pillows. The hotel provides a touring cart so you can explore the marina, Altos de Chavon, their private beach, the equestrian center, and the shooting center. We opted for the all inclusive package and were not disappointed. The food in the hotel's restaurants was varied and excellent and I was pleased with their house wines included in the package. For the non-motorized water sports, we used the kayaks and Hobey Cat and everything was in tip-top condition. We shot skeet and rode horses - all locations very close to the hotel with excellent guides and instructors. When asked how our stay was at check out, we only had one word: Awesome!
