I had never stayed at a resort before but my companion had. It was far beyond what either of us expected. Exceptionally beautiful grounds, beach and... water. Pools and bars spread out all over the place. Great music in the "centro" area each night but we always found quiet places around the resort to be alone, day or night. Food was much better than expected, although that wasn't an important issue for us. Various restaurants to eat at for a minimal charge ($20.00 to $40.00) for elegant dining. The buffet was very good though with an incredible variety of food a dn they had late night food as well (pizza) and things like that. Mostly europeans (of that mostly Italian, and many French, German and Spanish) so there was a heavy influence of Italian in the food and with cappuccino and espresso served virtually round the clock. The hotel Lobby and pools were beautiful. Lines at bars wernt too bad but the drinks all tasted crappy. Food was pretty good at resturaunts. Beach is lovely. Excursion to Catalina island was not worth it. Very expensive for poor snorkelling and guides fed the fish which they are not supposed to do! Biggest disappointment was our room. This is an all […] inclusive and no drinks in our fridge at all. Fridge was rusted. Bed was hard. No lamps in room. Bathroom was the worst. Old and shower curtain was over center of bath tub leaving a narrow slither to stand in and shower.Had to be sure to spend as little time as possible in room. Read more
