The Melia is very nice , close to other Hotels with Casinos. The noise from smokers outside the casinos was the only problem. The pool and Gym are small, but have very nice attendants. Despite of traditional Dominican courtesy and friendly behavior, the hotel itself lack of most of the Melia standards worldwide. "Great staff-too much attention"
The best thing about the Melia Hotel is its staff. Great service, great attention. Breakfast has to improve a little bit but its ok. They should include more fruits (not only pineapples and papayas). Room was very clean and when I requested to change the bed skirts they did it without hesitation. Room bar is too expensive for the items included ($5 […] dollars for a Snicker is too much!!). Trato frío. El personal se veía con poca capacidad de decisión y de reacción ante un problema que me surgió relacionado con el hotel. Automáticamente me convertieron a mí en culpable y tuve que pelear y bien para que me dejaran tranquila. Se me hizo tenso y sólo me quedé porque no tenía tiempo para buscar alternativas.
