"Beautiful resort but food lacking"
I stayed here for a week with my boyfriend and some friends. The place is really big and provides lots of options at a reasonable price if you need to please a range of interests. Overall, the biggest positives were the wonderful staff and the very nice and well kept facilities. I have really never seen cleaner public bathrooms in my life! We also found […] that with $10 tips we could easily get the drinks to be reasonably strong. The biggest negative was the food, which was mostly pretty bad. They spend money on the ingredients, but the recipes are bad and sitting on a buffet doesn't help. To give a gauge: the cereal was inedible. The Asian restaurant was quite tasty, Steak was good, and the Mexican was fine. They make it hard to get reservations, even though the places are empty. More minor negative would be the relatively uncomfortable beds (both ours and our friends' weren't great) and the somewhat older bedspreads/curtains. The common spaces were kept at a much higher level than the rooms. Not a huge deal in a beach resort where you are outside a lot, but a small investment here would be a big upgrade. Also to note: the pool seats get reserved really early (before 8:30) so you need to get out there early or expect to sit on the beach a bit farther away. The seats at the beach were actually more comfortable in my opinion. Overall we had fun and were really able to relax. It seemed like a good value. "good time; adequate vacation--but wouldn't go back"
first time at an all-inclusive. got the hotel transfer from expedia--made trip from/to airport painless. room was ready at 1p m arrival. hotel grounds were well-kept. check-in painless. room adequate, but clean. housekeeping in every day and did good job. beach was beautiful, but crowded--as was hotel. it didn't really feel like it unless you were looking […] to get chairs at the pool or beach. i was out there around 730 am trying to reserve seats and lots were already reserved!! food was okay, plentiful, but just okay. i recommend for a laid back vacation... i would never see myself getting married at this place or honeymooning--too crowded for me for that... but it was an affordable getaway that was enjoyable. don't think i would go back--but i love to travel and there is so much more to see...but this doesn't rate as to a place i would like to return to.. "bring spray for the bugs."
Room was overbooked, so it took long to get a room. My wife was bit by bugs and big rash came out on couple of spots on her body, so we should bought after bite cream for $23.00.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beach, Staff Make Up for Lackluster Rooms and Food"
