"Understand - You get what you pay for"
This hotel was great for the money the was paid. Nothing to complain about...and yet nothing to rave about. The hotel grounds were very well kept. The food.....well honestly...unless you get some REAL Dominican home cooking from one of the locals homes, just about all of the food in all of these hotels taste about the same...bulk...somewhat flavorless […] cooking...unless you go to a 5 star hotel. There are vendors there selling you things and they seem pushy, but I just looked at it as people trying to make money to live. Yes they are interrupting your vacation but again...for the inexpensive price...saying no while walking away didn't hurt me. Pool was clean...entertainment was great and entertaining as always. Check-out was hassle free. I was there for only three days. Could I have stayed longer? Not really. I got what I paid for and I was good. Would I go again or recommend this hotel? Yes...if I or the person I would recommend was on a budget and needed to get away for awhile. I did hear some guest complaining...actually quite a few...but in listening, I think that they set their expectations too high for this hotel. Great hotel...but you get what you a for. All in all I had a GREAT time with the people I was with and the VIK Hotel made the atmosphere enjoyable to be shared with them. A little advice....you might want to learn a little Spanish...it helps...they do treat you friendlier if you at least try to speak their language. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel VIK ARENA BLANCA à Punta Cana"
"Nice stay at VIK Arena Blanca"
We stayed three nights at Arena Blanca and really enjoyed our visit. The place was a paradise with great beach and nice pool area. Food buffet was excellent and especially breakfast and dinner were great. Also internet computers worked well even they were a bit slow. The only real minus comes from really pushy activity salesmen who try to sell you something […] all the time. Beware also that on your first day the salesmen in front of the breakfast buffet try to take you to a private presentation for vacation club memberhip. Also the nightlife was totally dead (May) but we didn't go there for the nightlife after all. All in all, a very nice place to stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
