Overall the resort was fine. The big thing people out there should know is that during the slow season (May) they invite local Dominicans into the resort for a very low price. "April 15-19 vacation"
After reading reviews I was very skeptical but after going from April 15-19th I have to say all the negative reviews were all wrong. The food in the restaurants were great and with several choices it made it that much better. We only ate in the brazilian and Italian but both were very good and we have no complaints. The resort is large with 3 pools […] do there is plenty of room and you don't feel crowded. The beach was beautiful and the water was a lot warmer than the pools were. As for the rooms it's any standard room we upgraded to the VIP and got top shelf alcohol and a nice room overlooking the pool and beach. The only negative I experienced the 5 days we were there was we only got hot water for showers one day. Every other time was either a cold shower or less than luke warm. This was my first time at Caribe Club Princess Hotel. The hotel itself was really nice and the staff was always willing to assist. We had a speedy check in and our rooms were cleaned every single day - even when I forgot to put out the "Please Clean Room" card on the door knob (thanks to Carolina). The beach was really nice - except early in the morning when they crew was out there cleaning the seaweed off the beach. Punta Cana is a beautiful city. I had no preconceived biases about it besides they love their baseball. The resort itself is one of the more beautiful in that area. They are relentless and quite annoying after a few days (this will happen anywhere you go in DM). There is a good amount of sea flora around the beach. It's hard to fight through sometimes. Usually it disappears by mid day. Power is also an issue. If it rains the power will go out. The food was what I expected from a buffet type of setting. It was average at best (the Dominican food night is the best). You should reserve the restaurants as soon as you can. They are great! The buffet works if you have kids but definitely don't expect much. The staff was patient and diligent. They do lack speedy means to get around so don't expect extra towels very quick. I would recommend having someone with you who grasps the Spanish language. There are only a handful of people that can speak English well. Luckily I am fairly proficient. I saw many peoples' trips ruined because they were frustrated with the language barrier. Understand that 90% of the staff will not speak your language if it isn't Spanish. Points positifs: Très bel hôtel , de belles piscines , magnifique plage à juste 50 mètres de la chambre, cadre très agréable et personnel accueillant et serviable. Points négatifs: Restauration moyenne pour une hôtel de standing (4*sup), quantité oui, mais qualité laissant à désirer au restaurant principal. C'est un buffet, sel service. L'organisation […] dès le petit déjeuner, idem au dîner, ou l'on doit faire la queue partout pour avoir les produits frais et si l'on ne mange les mêmes plats, on a beaucoup de mal à manger ensemble, si c'est un plat chaud. Pour les transats, c'était un peu "la guerre" pour en avoir un de correct car ils étaient abîmés pour la plupart . Quand on vient pour le farniente, c'est assez gênant de se lever avec un mal de dos. Il y a toujours beaucoup de vent , et du coup, la mer est assez trouble, on ne voyait pas ses pieds, sans compter les vagues incessantes un peu limites pour les plus jeunes. Autant sur la plage, que dans l'hôtel (Piscine, devant le restaurant...) , on est constamment dérangé par des vendeurs de l'hôtel et dès fois venant de l'extérieur pour réserver des excursions, prendre des photos, acheter des souvenirs etc....Le problème, c'est qu'ils insistent beaucoup et au bout de 3 jours, cela devient désagréable. A dispetto di quello che e indicato nella scheda dell hotel, non c´e connessione wifi in camera e nella hall si pagano 8 USD per 30 min, quindi sconsigliato a chi ha bisogno di connettersi spesso, Il buffet e di scarsa […] qualita ma ci sono alcuni ristoranti interni, sempre inclusi nel prezzo (non tutti) che offrono cibo migliore.
