I was very happy with my stay at Wakeup Copenhagen. The rooms are small but comfortable; you may have problems if you're a large person or if you have a lot of luggage. The wireless Internet access was free and fast. Everything was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the price was right. I would happily stay there again. The main drawback of this hotel is that it makes you (or at least me) feel like part of a high quality, well functioning machine. Everything works and is in place to assure that no human intervention is required. But if you like a bit of human intervention while traveling that can become somewhat irritating.

The exact opposite of a cozy family hotel. No frills, just clean, minimalist design with lots of glass, stainless steel and dark wood. Rooms are comfortable enough but tiny; to open the window you have to kneel on the bed. In the round glass-enclosed shower stall, the only thing missing is Scotty to beam you up. Very nice and modern hotel, with good service. We found bicycles very practical, we brought our own, but rental at the hotel is possible. Room(sky) small but fancy; we had wished a little more privacy when visiting the bathroom.

WakeUp Copenhagen has small but clean rooms. The A/C didn't seem to work so our room got stuffy. Very close the the main train station and Tivoli. We didn't have their breakfast for an additional $10, instead we had scrumptous danishes at Anderson Bakery right outside Tivoli. Wi Fi was great.

Good location, and the hotel seemed to be quite new. Price was reasonable. Room was small but well-designed. Everything seemed very clean. Beds were comfortable, the view was great (we paid a little extra to be on the top floor). It was nice and quiet. Unfortunately we did not try the breakfast buffet, so no review here.

After entering the room, we did not see towels and linien for 2 people. One side of the bed touched the wall under the window. I thought we were in a one person room by mistake. I went to reception to complain, and was informed that all rooms were equal and the towels and linien were in the drawer under the bed. And they were indeed! The room is a wonder […] minimalist design, nothing superfluous. There is no minibar, for a beer go downstairs and buy one at the reception. Excepting for the size it was all clean and new, including a good flat screen TV. It is fine for one person and no luggage, but not for a couple travelling for 20 days. There are bycicles that can be rented. It is useful because Copenhagen is flat and people really use bikes there. But have a good rain coat available! Read more

The hotel itself is well designed in keeping with Scandi decor and the room itself was basic but modern. However, ipon check in, I saw fine hairs on the duvet cover, including a fine, blond pubic hair which was not obvious on the white sheets unless you looked closely. Management sent someone straight away to inspect my claims and then subsequently […] change the sheets. The woman they sent to check my claims admitted that they typically change the bedding every three days given the size of the hotel. When I said that I was a new guest and inquired about basic expectations of clean sheets for all new guests, she then said that they had problems with their laundry service. It felt like a lot of excuses for corner cutting, in hopes that I wouldn't notice. The location of the hotel is also quite far away from central Copenhagen (20 min walk) and the rates for their daily bicycle rentals were much, much higher than in the city center. I was disappointed with my stay and would opt for a different hotel on my next visit. Read more

Hotel was clean. Breakfast buffet was more of a continental meal....no cereal, eggs. That was fine, Location was good., Very close to the train station and "Tivoli", Also not too far to "Storget" street. Pedestrian shopping. Rooms are small, but clean and modern. The blankets are great. They were individual (like down comforters).

Hotel wasn't THAT bad.. it's just in an inconvient location. If you want the train station, and a little walk go for it! It is one of the cheaper ones in town.. it all depends on what you are looking for. They did however keep reminding us "we are a two star hotel." We ended up re-booking this hotel when coming back to Copenhagen since we had a nice experience. It's close to central station (about 5 minute walk), it's very modern and new, and the price could not be beat. The breakfast isn't that great and the rooms are smaller but all the other perks make up for it!

Biggest flaw - no restaurant in hotel or neaby. Location is 5-6 blocks from main shopping and any restaurants and the hop-on, hop-off bus. Too far to go in and out for meals, esp. if you are tired. A generous continental breakfast is served, but expensive and no variety from day to day. The only fresh fruit was apples and unripe pears. Location is off […] the beaten downtown path so not good if you aren't a happy walker. Four blocks from train station makes that handy, plus some fast food options there. The hotel is very modern with free internet access but no in-room phones. That made it difficult communicating with the rest of our group. Rooms are very small, and there's no such thing as a double-double. If you want 2 beds they give you two adjoining rooms w/ a double bed each. Bathroom walls are frosted glass, rather odd and not very private. I expect hotels closer to the main downtown shopping area are more expensive, but this didn't seem like a bargain. I'd look further next time for a location that didn't require so much walking. And a restaurant handy. Read more

Parking was in a lot down the street because the hotel's surrounding area was under construction. Parking lot was dirt and rocks, not paved, not gated or a garage, and construction equipment and big cranes and trucks driving through directly next to the cars...and they CHARGED for it! Room was tiny, typical European size. View was horrible (ugly train […] yard) and it was noisy all night long-24 hour trains. Windows only open about 6 inches but there is not sufficient A/C to cool the room, so sleeping is uncomfortable if it is hot outside. You must pay for breakfast (extra charge) ahead of time at the front desk instead of at the restaurant area, which is a waste of time. Breakfast is only cold stuff, for the high price I would expect bacon, eggs, ham, oatmeal, or something hot at least. We got a family suite (2 rooms connected) but still only gave us key cards for one of the rooms, and we had to go down and request them to give a key for each separate door (strange). Distance is not that bad, about 15 min walk to Tivoli, but I would pay more and stay in a nice part of town. There was nothing touristy in the area and no public transport stops. We asked about a parking garage because my car was BRAND NEW from the factory the very same day, but we were forced to use the dirty unsafe parking lot. That should be FREE since the quality was so bad. Staffing at the front desk is not enough when it gets busy, we only saw 2 people max at any one time. They are pretty friendly though. Read more

Copenhagen was great, so different and this hotel was too. Very modern and at a great price, the breakfast buffet, 60kr. was not what i was used to but I was also not in the States either. But it was a good change, the shower was a bit small, it was a glass shower, loved the view from my room window.
