Wakeup Copenhagen is a cool, modern, inexpensive hotel. Stylish and functional designed by Kim Utzon. Architecturally splendid, its many exceptional features make this new hotel a unique spot, comparing well with many of the city’s 3-star and 4-star establishments, although coming in pricewise at the 2-star bracket.

Measuring 12-15 m2 in area all guest rooms at Wakeup Copenhagen are comfortable and modern, en-suite with hairdrier, air conditioned and come with multi-channel, flat screen TV, a good-sized desk and a free wireless Internet connection as standard. Bed size 160 cm.

The Tivoli Gardens amusement park, founded in 1843, makes this area the liveliest in the city. The park boasts one of the oldest wooden roller coasters still in operation, and the world's tallest carousel. The Pantomime Theatre dates back to 1874. Other attractions include the Hans Christian Anderson Castle, the Glass House, and the Concert Hall with its aquarium lounge. Outdoor concerts take place here in summer.

The location is rather out of the way in an industrial area. It is fairly close to the train station but far from everything else. We arrived quite early before check-in time but the hotel does not have a luggage room like most; there is a luggage locker room which you must pay to store your luggage. The breakfast was OK; not bad but nowhere near the best of breakfasts we had at other hotels in Scandinavia. "Soulless and uninspirational"
If you are happy with mediocracy, no service, clean but prison like rooms with no space to swing a cat, then this hotel is for you - and there are many that require just that. But this hotel is a symptom of the internet World. It has no soul; no service and no heart - but people seem to like it. My main complaint is that it stated it was in the City […] Centre. "A person unlocked the door and came into our room."
I would like to start by saying that most things were great during our stay at the Wakeup Copenhagen. Low prices, clean room, friendly staff, early check in, and a central location. However one thing was less than great. At 11pm at night, a man unlocked our door and entered the room. He seemed genuinely surprised to find me in the room and ran out. I […] went down to the lobby at once to report this. The receptionist could not offer any suggestions to who the man was, how or why he entered the room. The receptionist told me that there were no male maids on duty. The receptionist offered us a new room and we took it, but it was hard to feel safe in the room after this incident. There was either an employee who entered the room (when he wasn't supposed to, without knocking and checking if there was anyone in the room and without offering an explanation before running out of the room) or a guest/outsider (who had keycard access to our room). Rummet var väldigt litet, glasdörr på toan är inte bra, lämnade en glipa när jag stängde. Ingen telefon på rummet och för lite utrymme för sängen. Sängen stod intill fönstret och vi fick klättra över varandra för att komma till sängplatsen för sängen hade bara 1 sida fri. Hur det kan kallas för standard dubbelrum övergår mitt förstånd. "Very basic hotel in Copenhagen. Look elsewhere!"
The hotel is located close to the city center, but that's about all it's got going for it. The surroundings are very industrial with train tracks, construction and plenty of concrete. The rooms are not much larger than a closet. They have a bed, a shower and not room for much more. They don't have a basic guide in the room describing any services, […] such as breakfast prices, parking, shuttles, attractions, wireless password etc. Maybe it's because they don't much more than a room? There's not even a phone in the room to call reception in case you have questions. Furthermore when we got there, we had parked in a spot down the street. We asked the staff if it was free and was told it was not free anywhere within city limits. We would have to pay a parking pass to their lot costing 100 DKR (approx $17). After buying the pass we went back outside and checked the parking signs - it was free. If you just need a bed and don't expect anything this hotel will do, otherwise look for something better. "Wake up - very unhappy !!!"
Pænt hotel men så er det vist sagt. Hvis prisen havde været som en lavprishotel ville vi ikke have de store problemer men hold da op vi var skuffede.Kæmpede os over byggeaffald og gravemasiner med vores kufferter og havde mudder langt op over benene da vi ankom. Måtte vente i 40 min. for at tjekke ind. Vi havde bestilt værelse - øverst oppe. Dette viste […] sig at være 4 salg ud af 10 som så også vendte ud mod en byggeplads så støv og ekstrem larm væltede ind. Jamen så luk dog vinduet...nej for aircondition virkede ikke så der blev uhyggelig varmt på værelset. Værelset var virkelig lille..igen okay hvis det havde været lavpris men ak. Sengen stod placert op mod væggen og tv på modsatte væk langt derfra så sku man se tv skulle man stå op eller sidde på toilet. Vi prøvede at rykke sengen men så væltede der nullermænd op på størrelse med velvoksne katte. Vi klagede over dette men et arrogant pigebarn spurgte om ikke der var rent nok OVENPÅ sengen for det var vel der vi skulle sove hmm. Vi måtte selv redde sengen og morgenmaden var så absolut ikke de 60 kr. værd. Virkelig virkelig dårlig hoteloplevelse og vi har ellers godtnok prøvet en del igennem årene. "Rimelig og fint hotell."
Hotellet er nesten splitter nytt. Enkelt, stilrent, god design. Små rom, men man har det man trenger. De har kuttet ut unødvendige ting som restaurant m/middagsservering osv., helsestudio, minbar, tlf. og buksepresse osv. på rommet. Kan få enkel frokost, men jeg anbefaler heller å innta frokosten på en av de mange restauranter som serverer frokostbuffet […] for kr 49,- på Fisketorvet kjøpesenter, bare ca. 500 meter unna. Der har de også masse butikker og kino. Hotellet ligger nær bryggen, hvor det er kjempekoselig å ta spasertsturer, spesielt om kvelden. Veldig hyggelig betjening på hotellet. Ligger i et område med mye bygningsarbeid i nabolaget, men det generer ikke nevneverdig. Anbefaler å ta taxi fra flyplassen. Ca. 250 DKR. Ca. 3 km. å gå fra nærmeste Metro, nemlig.
