Squeezed onto an elongated island between the Danube Canal and the main river channel, Leopoldstadt was the centre of Vienna’s Jewish community from the early 17th century until the Holocaust. The Strauss, Freud, and Mahler families all had homes here at various times. Most visitors flock to the Prater funfair, which has a Riesenrad (large ferris wheel).

The location was about the only good thing, well that and the breakfast. My "king bed" was in fact two small beds pushed together, and not even with a big sheet joining them together. Apparently all of their "king" beds are like this. The free wifi barely worked. Showering was very difficult. It's a small, narrow tub, with the faucet positioned in the […] middle of the tub - strange? Housekeeping doesn't knock, and walked right into my room at 9am. I don't know why people rave about this place? Granted this was my first stay in Vienna and I have nothing to compare it to. "this hotel is not for summer, too stuffy"
Front desk is very helpful. the only problem is there is no air condition in the hotel. "Close to canal and sites"
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was far too small, smaller than what is stated on site, there is no mini bar and the coffee and milk provided is a joke and tastes disgusting. "the hotel is a bit overvalued ..."
The hotel facility is quite old. It's sitting right on the Praterstrasse and it is very noisy in the rooms at the front side. And according to the hotel staff, it's a hotel without single bed, (they just have twin beds.) The problem is, if you conbine the beds, there is still a gap between them.
