This Vienna hotel is in the Alsergrund neighborhood in a 19th-century palace. Votivkirche, the Sigmund Freud Museum, and the University of Vienna are within one-half kilometer. Most of Vienna's famous sights and shopping streets are a short walking distance from the hotel or can be reached very easily by taking the nearby metro station.

The Hotel Regina includes a bar/lounge, a coffee shop/café, and the lovely Restaurant Roth, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner while providing views of the city and al fresco dining in the summer. the only major problem I had with the hotel was my converter (US citizen) would not work in the room. When I asked the front desk if I could borrow or rent one, they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about! I'm going to assume there are other Americans traveling to Vienna. Location was good near the Metro and sites. However, the small room came with a slanted ceiling over the bed and a small bathroom. "Old style and comfortable"

"The hotel is in a very convenient position."
Our room was a bit small but we were offered a bigger room on request.The pillows were very soft and extra ones did not help.the bathroom lacked spare toilet rolls and tissues.TV was old. Our room was clean and the staff that we had any contact with were helpful. Breakfast was quite a good buffet but coffee left on the table was cold it should be served […] fresh although it was replaced when requested. The Regina needs some TLC. The Regina Hotel has seen better days. Although the room was clean and the staff were very kind and helpful, the place is in dire need of redecoration. The lobby and hallways were very dated with old, old, old carpeting and furniture (and not in a classic way). The regular double room was relatively spacious in that it had a separate seating area, but […] the sofa was from the 50's it would seem and there wasn't a whole lot of room to walk around. Un hotel que impresona por fuera, pero por dentrose nota antiguo aunque lo han remozado, igualse nota que tuvo mejores epocas y quizas en los 40o 50s fue el super hotel de Viena,pero hoy es un hote de 4 estrellas, adecuado, con decracion de 3 estrellas, pero mantiene un lobby y un comedor rimbombantes,gratos. El personal lo normalmente agil y atento, […] nada del otro mundo pero tampoco antipaticos.
