Located in Vienna (Leopoldstadt), Hotel Kunsthof is close to Johann-Strauss-Museum, Riesenrad, and Wiener Prater. Also nearby are Hundertwasser House Vienna and St. Stephen's Cathedral.

Squeezed onto an elongated island between the Danube Canal and the main river channel, Leopoldstadt was the centre of Vienna’s Jewish community from the early 17th century until the Holocaust. The Strauss, Freud, and Mahler families all had homes here at various times. Most visitors flock to the Prater funfair, which has a Riesenrad (large ferris wheel).

At first glance one would think what kind of neighborhood is this?...especially if one misses the entrance to this hotel. Coming from a typically graffiti free city we were somewhat put off by the abundance of it on the nearby buildings. However once you get into the lobby you can calm down because it looks like a hotel. :) Anyways the rooms themselves […] are clean but the beds are a bit small...also be prepared for loud noises if your room is located near the stairs since the sound proofing was not that great. "Very unique hotel"
This hotel had a lot of character! Convient location to downtown (able to walk there). The room for 2 people is very small but the bathroom was a good size. The hotel was clean and the staff were wonderful. No air conditioning in the room so it did get very warm. "Close to Northern train station"
I was slightly disappointed by the room as it was quite basic. No tea/coffee facilities and sparce decoration/ furnishings. No fridge or air con. "Kunsthof: Lovely, cool, charming, and cheap"
I'd recommend this place to anyone. 20 minute walk into the Innerstadt, which is stunning. This place looks very plain from the outside but the rooms were very clean, and the staff were wonderfully helpful. The honesty bar and outside area are a nice touch, as is free internet. Lage des Hotels ist super, nahe am Prater. Zimmer klein (günstigstes Angebot) aber sehr sauber. Das Bad war frisch renoviert. Also Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.Das Frühstück ist sehr spärlich für 7,90 Euro. Darum vielleicht lieber in eine Bäckerei oder Cafe gehen. Das Hotel Kunsthof besticht durch seine einzigartige Kunstsammlung und den wundervollen, grünen, gemütlichen Innenhof, der zum Frühstücken und Verweilen einlädt. "Hotel Kunsthof - confortevole"
