    I stayed here in October 2011 for a conference in a neighbouring hotel. The service was superb and the staff couldn't do enough for you. I had forgotton... my toothbrush and razor and they provided these free of charge. There was free wifi in the room which was essential as a business traveller. The room was huge and had windows that opened above an atrium to let fresh air in. It had all the facilities you would expect from a 5* hotel but obviously this included extorionate bar prices but that's to be expected. However the mini-bar in the room was free of charge and included a beer, sparkling wine and coke. An unexpected treat! It is very accessible to the centre and close to a lovely park - all walking distance. The public transport links are excellent. There are a number of good restaurants and bars within 300m of the hotel too. I would definitely stay here again either as a business traveller or a tourist. by a Hotels.com guest on 10/26/11

    Overview

    Location.
    The Radisson SAS Palais Hotel is a luxury hotel located 11 miles from the Wien-Schwechat Airport in the heart of Vienna. The Radisson SAS Palais Hotel is situated right in the heart of Vienna on the historic Parkring, across the road from the Stadtpark, which is the home of the gilded Johann Strauss monument. Just a short distance away by foot, you will find famous attractions such as the State Opera, the Stephansdom and Vienna's fashionable shopping district. At the end of the 20th century the two former palaces were carefully incorporated into today's elegant 5 star hotel, offering all modern facilities and amenities.

    Hotel Features.
    The Radisson SAS Palais Hotel features 17 conference rooms, outfitted with audiovisual equipment and complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access. Business amenities such as computers, printers, and a copy machine are also available for guest use. Guests are invited to take advantage of onsite services such as three-hour express laundry, 24-hour room service, overnight shoe shine service and Grab & Run breakfast. After a day of meetings or sightseeing, unwind in the hotels' own fitness center, looking out over Vienna's rooftops. Limited parking (surcharge) is available, and an airport shuttle can be provided (surcharge).

    Guestrooms.
    All 247 guestrooms are fully air conditioned; they provide a working area with desk as well as complimentary WiFi. Room amenities also include telephones with personal voicemail; bathrooms have adjustable height showers over bathtubs and heated floors.

    the hotel Radisson Blu Palais Hotel, Vienna, is rated as 5-star, but the room condition and hotel service are really similar to 3-star if it would be rated in the US. the room is tiny small and dated. we were there in march, the room was so cold, even the heating made big noise, it was still too weak to warm up that small room.

Wir haben in verschiedenen Schichten zu verschiedenen Tageszeiten immer wieder die gleiche Inkompetenz und Unfreundlichkeit verschiedener Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption erfahren und […] waren schockiert. So viel Unfreundlichkeit und fehlende Kompetenz auf einfachste Fragen zu antworten sind mir für ein Haus dieser Sternekategorie unbegreiflich.
