Just west of the old town, the area around the main station is crammed with hotels and pedestrian areas filled with shops. "Great location, but you get what you pay for"
Staff was polite but did not make it easy to print things. They should really install a kiosk computer for that purpose. Hotel is not air conditioned, so I would not recommend it for summer travel. My room faced a busy street, which made it difficult to sleep with the windows open all night. The in-room safe will not fit a laptop. Kitchenette is helpful […] if you like to cook. "Just so so"
The hotel is in a great location - blocks away from the main train station. However, the hotel is quite dingy, though the rooms are better than you'd think when first walking into the hotel. "OK hotel in seedy area"
This hotel is two blocks from the train station and it's just a ten minute walk to the gates of the Old Town. We strolled 12 minutes through a pleasant neighborhood to reach the Pinakahotek Museum area. The hotel neighborhood is a little seedy, with four casinos and a exotic-dance place called Boobs within a block. We never felt like there was any danger, […] but if I was staying in Munich again I'd stay closer to Marienplatz or Franforter Tor, which are also stops on the train from the airport. "our stay in Munich"
The hotel's location is great. At the center of the city and only 4 min to the main train station. However the hotel is not well maintained, lift was noisy and the whole hotel needs a paint job and maintenance. The staff, of only 1 person, was mostly courteous and helpful but as there is only one person taking care of everybody, she was overwhelmed […] and did not have time to properly deal with all the issues or your questions. The main door is locked at night, you have to access the building with your key, and there is no one to talk to if you need anything. The Vi Vadi is conveniently located near the Hauptbahnhof in Munich. It's a close walk and/or subway ride to many of the city's sights. The location and the free wireless access make it a good option for quick stopovers in Munich, and the friendly staff also made it a nice experience. However, the building interiors are a bit shabby, the lack of A/C […] can be a problem on hot or even warm days and the neighborhood isn't all that attractive. We stayed in this Hotel 3 nights in July. The room was stuffy and hot. We couldn't sleep at nights from heat and noise. The hotel is on a busy street. Vi Vadi Hotel is very close to the Munich train station. It's an apartment set up, equipped with a kitchen. There is a grocery store close by, you could buy grocery and cook breakfast, they do have cooking pots, pans, and other basic utensils. The bedroom was small as expected. The bathroom is my biggest complaint, you can hardly turn around in there. […] Staff was very friendly, it rained when we were there, they have umbrellas we can borrow. This is a nice little hotel. The rooms are nothing fancy but they do have microwave, electric hobs, fridge and sinks. No air conditioning was a bit disappointing. "Hotel close to the Railway station"
About an 8-10 minute walk to the main Munich station made for easy access. The rooms were a little small but it was well equipped. The reception staff were very helpful. Good location close to station and centre. Nice and clean with comfortable bed and kitchen facilities. However, our first disappointment was that the only lift never came and we had to walk up 6 flights of stairs. "Decent but not great"
Booked a room for 3 people. Our beds were all touching as the room was somewhat small. Microwave, fridge, sink, and stove were all available to use in room. Very clean. Reception staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful. Hotel is very close to the train station (2 min walk) which is a good thing, but there are a ton of casinos and strip clubs […] around the station. Not dangerous but can be off-putting. Vi Vadi hotellin vieressä on ravintola Vi Vadi. Aamiainen on hyvä. Kävin 27.11.2011 illalla syömässä ravintolassa ja sain todella voimakkaan ruokamyrkytyksen, jonka epäilen tulleen ravintolan annoksista. Hotellet var helt ok, fasaden ok, reception och korridorer väldigt slitet ofräscht, hissen 1 st på hela hotellet, väldigt liten ca 4 presoner, används även som transporthiss av personalen, väldigt sliten, lång väntetid.
