Just west of the old town, the area around the main station is crammed with hotels and pedestrian areas filled with shops. Further north is the city's museum district, which is home to the Alte and Neue Pinakothek, the Pinakothek der Moderne, the restored Glypothek, the Museum of Antiquities, and the Lenbachhaus, which exhibits the work of Bavarian painter Franz von Lenbach.

The lobby of this hotel smacks of a youth hostel, in a bad way. It's staffed by a couple of unprofessional guys who like to smoke just outside the main entrance. The single elevator that services this hotel feels like it's going to snap off of its tracks and plunge down. To boot, the hallways on the guest floors are dirty, dark, and scary. The rooms […] are the only nice part of the hotel, which is something I suppose. Just don't visit during a warm month. The room can get very hot and stuffy because there is no air system and no circulation. Also, the free wireless internet service never worked during my stay. I ended up going to an internet cafe and paying for internet service there. This hotel really shouldn't advertise that they offer free wireless internet when it never works. Das Hotel macht einen runtergekommenen Eindruck. Allein der Empfangsbereich schreckt ab. Der Aufzug führt einen dann zu einem runtergekommenen Hotelgang mit den Zugang zu den Zimmern. Das Zimmer war renoviert und somit in Ordnung. Alles in allem hätte ich von dem Hotel für den Preis viel mehr erwartet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
