When we checked in, we were given a key to a room that was not only a single, but someone was already checked into that room! Luckily, they were not there, otherwise, we could have had an embarrassing encounter. We finally got the correct key for our double room, but we were very disappointed in the lack of ventilation. There is no air conditioning, […] no fan, and the windows open up about an inch at the top. We were there in the middle of August, and we were literally sleeping in a pool of sweat! "Poor Reception Service"
The Hotel Schweiz is located in the Turkish / Red Light district of Munich close to the station. It is very central. I booked online but forgot that I had paid. In the morning we had to wait 20 minutes at reception because there was only 1 receptionist who kept making mistakes. So, pay online and remember you have paid. No other staff were available […] so a queue built up of increasingly irritated guests. Decor a bit shabby. Room clean but smelled stale when we entered. The hotel is close to the city centre but the neighbourhood is catastrophic. The room was so small even to open a luggage in it. Cleanliness has still room to develop. Billigt hotell nära tågstationen. Badrummet var ganska litet och dåligt planerat men det var rent och snyggt. Frukost ingick tyvärr inte men däremot kaffe i lobbyn. Servicekvalitet var okej, schyst med förvaring av väskor och gratis securitybox. Sehr nettes Personal, Hotelanlage wirkt ungepflegt, Zimmer war sehr klein, die Ausstattung in Ordnung. Sauberkeit naja, könnte besser sein. Dette var substandard. Vi hadde booket for 3 dager men fikk nok etter en halv time. Varmt og innestengt på rommet og det bråkte så mye utenfor at vi ikke kunne ha åpent vindu. Die Lage ist gut, der Service auch, das Bett war abschüssig und die Bad-Armaturen defekt bzw. verrostet. Die Fernsehprogramme liefen nicht wie angegeben, was allerdings an der Umstellung auf Plasma-Bildschirme lag - die Techniker waren dran, leider zu spät für mich. Das Frühstücksbuffet war für Vegetarier nicht so berauschend, es gab nur eine Sorte […] Schnittkäse, aber sonst okay und ausreichend. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Straßengeräusche sind für empfindliche Menschen und in der Sommerzeit sicherlich sehr störend. Das Zimmer war winzig, doch für ein paar Nächte geht das ganz gut. Ist halt alles eine Frage des Anspruchs, für mich waren die heruntergekommenen sanitären Anlagen am unangenehmsten. Das Klo war übersät mit Sprüngen und die Armaturen am Waschbecken rostig.
