Hahn Hotel

Overall, this is a very suitable hotel and I would stay again if ever in Munich. We were in Munich for Oktoberfest and the hotel was very convenient to the grounds--about a 15 or 20 minute walk. Was also close to several good restaurants and Augustiner brewery. The hotel staff was very friendly and offered suggestions on how to get around and cost saving […] "partner tickets" for the tram, which they also sold. The food in the mornings was quite good and satisfying. The two downfalls of the hotel were the street noise and the less than soft bedding. If your room faces the main street it will be pretty noisy until about 3 am on the weekends. Also, the mattresses were very firm and made for a wakeful night's sleep, in conjunction with the noise. However, given all of the positive aspects I would recommend the Hotel Hahn to friends, and would stay there again myself. Read more

My husband and I stayed for three nights in mid-August. Like most European rooms, it was small. The bed was comfortable and the room was nicely decorated. The window opened, so we were able to cool off at night (no airconditioning). The bathroom was small; but adequate. There was some traffic noise at night and the curtains let in quite a bit of light. […] I usually travel with ear plugs and sleeping mask, so this was not a problem for me. The breakfast was excellent! The staff spoke good English and were patient with the little German we spoke. The bar/lounge located in the hotel was nice for a last beer before turning in for the night. This hotel is within easy walking distance of a train/bus stop and takes only a few minutes to reach Central Munich - which is also in walking distance - if you don't mind about a 20 min. walk. The breakfast is well worth the price. They will cook you eggs and bacon to order. Mr Hahn and his wife were very accomodating, and even switched our room when we had a problem with the internet. They upgraded us to a larger room at no charge to put us closer to their wifi connection. The afternoon and night deskmen during the week were wonderful. They […] were full of useful tips for sight seeing and restaurants. They were very friendly, and my wife and I enjoyed hours of chatting with them while drinking wine and beer at the bar. The older gentleman that works on the weekends on the night shift is not friendly at all, and we got the impression that he didn't like americans. There were 8 people in the bar on the weekend, and he was chatting and serving the local german speaking patrons. We stood at the bar for 15 minutes watching him chat with and serve the locals. We tried to patiently wait to be served, and when he finally came to us and we spoke English, he said he had to take care of business and walked away. We waited another 15 minutes for him to return, but he didn't come back so we left for a bar down the street. When we returned from the bar down the street, we asked him for some advice about one of the castles in Munich. He replied that it was almost midnight and that it would be better if we asked someone in the daytime. Virgil was the night Deskman during the week, and we really liked him. I would even say that he made our trip very special. He went out of his way to help us plan day trips, and gave us the history of local attractions and restaurantts. I would definitely recommend the Hahn Hotel, but if you are english speaking, stay away from the night deskman on Friday and Saturday. Read more

We found this hotel a very pleasant surprise, a small family run bavarian style guest house in the centre of Munich, with excellent well kept rooms, a lovely large breakfast room and wood lined bar. The owners and staff were extremley helpful and friendly which made for a very relaxing atmosphere. When booking this hotel we opted for a room only basis […] but breakfast is available for an additional charge which we found very reasonable given that the quality and amount of choice was outstanding. An added bonus was that the internet was provided for free, the trams for getting around the town ran past the hotel with the station about 100 metres away. We would definately recommed this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing city break with a traditional atmosphere. Read more

This hotel is 6 minutes away from Marienplatz (center of town) by tram. The S-Bahn, that takes you to the airport, is across the street, which makes it very convenient. Hotel room was a bit old, and a little upgrade or renovation wouldn't hurt. Bathroom - same thing. However, for the price we paid it was fine. It was clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast […] (at additional charge) was quite underwhelming. Poor selection (if any) of fruit, cheese, meat. All the hotel staff was very nice and friendly. Très belle hôtel à proximité du tram et ce qui s'apparente au RER. Hôtel situé sur un Boulevard principal de Munich mais aucun bruit de circulation. Parking privé ou prêt de carte de stationnement si vous trouvez une place de parking dans les rues aux alentours. Chambre typique, très propre. Personnel à l'écoute. Petit déjeuner très sympa.

Hotel je příjemný v tradičním stylu. Je umístěný v širším centru města asi 5 minut od S bahn a 1 minutu od tramvaje. Jizda MHD je do centra asi 7 min. Das Hotel Hahn liegt zwar direkt an einer befahrenen Strasse. Man ist aber mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln schnell in der Innenstadt. Hervorzuheben ist der gute und freundliche Service des Hotelpersonals.

Die kurze Entfernung zur S-Bahn-Station macht es möglich, rasch ins Zentrum zu fahren. Das Hotel sowie das Personal sind charmant. Das einzige Problem ist der Lärm aus der Hauptstrasse.

een heel gezellig familiehotel waar service hoog in het vaandel staat. Heel attent, voorkomend. Kamer was niet groot maar wel heel netjes, internet verbinding werkte goed. Ontbijt goed en betaalbaar.

Ägaren (Herr Hahn) och övrig personal var jättetrevliga och hjälpsamma. Gemütlich inredda rum i Bayernstil. Vårt rum vätte tyvärr mot en kraftigt trafikerad väg. På grund av värmen och avsaknanden av AC hade vi fönstret öppet och det var svårt att sova med trafikbullret. Jag rekommenderar ändå hotellet om ni får ett rum som inte ligger mot vägen.
