Overall satisfied with hotel, they were running some kind of emergency drill when I checked in and so I had to wait 15 minutes until computers came back online to check in. Power went out in my room for no reason on morning of second day and maintenance had to reset room breaker. "Mixed impression, very nice grand hotel yet not quite live up to expectation totally"
The hotel is some distance away from the city and activity center, however the bus and train are convenient. I took the train from the airport and take a bus transfer to the hotel. The walk between the train station and bus stop is not too far however, no sign nor direction so it took some effort to find the bus stop. Both train and bus rides are fast […] and comfortable and costs much less than taxi. The hotel lobby looks bueatiful and grand. The room is also clean and nice. The pool and the workout room facility are pretty nice. Surprisingly there is no AC in the hallway and the AC in the room is only semi functioning which makes the room temperature is less than comfortable. The shower chamber in the bathroom is fairly small hardly allows much space to turn around. Very limited option of dining in the hotel and no eatery is close by. I had late lunch in the Paulana which is average. I also had a late dinner in the bar and the food there is mediocore. The service is responsive and courteous overall. I would not say I can't wait to go back. But I got the room through the hot deal from Expedia at a pretty good rate. So it may still be considered as good value. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Great location for my meetings, amenities available to all... including indoor pool etc. Clean with eager to help floor staff and very secure. Only snag - the waiters and waitresses are inexperienced, forget orders, and if presented with a large denomination for a relatively small charge (?) one told me, I do not have change, instead of going to the […] Hotel desk (10 meters away) and change it, The quality of food is decent but NOT 5 stars - just good with lot's of room for improvement. Je suis un voyageur très fréquent et ai eu plusieurs mauvaises surprises avec cet hôtel au niveau des réservations qui n'avaient pas été enregistrées, et du Check out ou la réception voulait la faire repayer ma chambre qui avait déjà été réglée!! J'ai du montrer […] mon relèvé bancaire pour qu'ils acceptent finalement leur erreur. Inacceptable pour une chaîne de ce rang. Der Hotelaufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Leider wurde er vom Service der 2 Mitarbeiter in der Bar/Bistro getrübt. Nachdem ich die Bestellung aufgegeben habe brachte man mir zunächst ein falsches Getränk aufgrund mangelnder Aufmerksamkeit bei der Aufnahme meiner Bestellung. Dann wurden die bestellten Speisen serviert. Und während der ganzen Zeit kam kein […] Mitarbeiter mehr und das obwohl mein Getränk leer getrunken war. Die Mitarbeiterin unterhielt sich mit ebenfalls dem gleichen alter entsprechenden Gästen sehr angeregt. Obwohl im ganzen Local nur 8 Gäste anwesend war schaffte es der Kollege nicht nachzufragen ob alles okay ist bzw ob ich noch einen Wunsch hätte. Eigentlich hatte ich mir vorgenommen noch einen Cocktail zu trinken. Habe aber dann darauf verzichtet nachdem ich über 30 Minuten auf ein Getränk gewartet hatte. Für ein 5* Haus leider viel zu wenig.
